That silent majority really came out during the midterms. The fact is that in 2016, you had 2 weak candidates who were despised by voters. Voters had to decide which candidate was the least worst. However Michigan and Pennsylvania are likely in the Democrat column which means Trump will need to run the table with the remaining states of Wisconsin, Florida, Iowa and NC and possiblly NH.

I kind of agree with our TDS posters. Trump would have been a skid mark in 2016 If any of the following had happened:

Hillary had stayed sober and campaigned the last two weeks of the campaign.

If Bernie had actively campaigned for her.

If Comey had not covered his bets on her actual Russian backers.

I expect something similar this time. The Ds will pick some leftwing lunatic in the primaries. The superdelegates will alienate their base by picking what they consider a Centrist.

The D primaries and convention will be the motherload of opposition research and ads for Trump.
