I was at a bar last night & a guy of Italian & Polish heritage said to a Jewish lady that Jews won't be saved because they reject Jesus.

Is there some truth to that?

I've read some Bible versuses stating such.

What's your opinion?

The Bible states, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

So, everyone before the time of Jesus is in Hell?

In this thread we see the terrible pain that comes from not loving fellow humans as they not only long to be loved, but as they deserve to be loved. We see deep resentments and bitterness directed towards one another here stemming from events that often happened before any of us were born, and something of which we had no part.

We.all.fail.at.love.

Worse, we use the relationship we have with God to hurt direct the most loathsome wounding possible towards those of other faiths. God forgives, but apparently we do not--not even after decades, centuries, eras.

I can testify as to God's love for all of us, and that love is amazing, awesome, indescribable. It is love as each of us deserve to be love, a love only God seems capable of. It seems the least we can all do is sing of God's love, and be so inspired by it, we can at least try a little harder to let it shine through us.

Instead of EVER asking whether Jews (or anyone) is "saved", why not state the love God has for everyone? He has special regard and care for those who love Him, for the sinner, for those who are lost. During times where we begin enumerating how we recognize our fellow humans cannot love us as we deserve, at least recognize God does, and that among our fellow man many are indeed trying to love better because that is what their faith (or personal ideal) is calling them to do.

May I add, that all the properties that Jews lost in east Europe to the Nazis and to the Soviets were fully returned to them in the early 2000's. However everyone else got only a nominal compensation for loss. In other words, you have to be a Jew to get back what you lose to centralized totalitarian powers, and if you are not a Jew then you get back nothing.
