Trump continues to narrow his own appeal. For example the week started out with the Dems finding themselves in an unintended fratricide led by three freshmen women none of whom were pushing traditional dem issues rather than their own politics of personal ego. And Trump bails them out with his unprincipled raid on the power of appropriations ... and even Coulter is saying he can probably hold his base without necessarily have to chain himself to a portion of unbuilt wall, pour gasoline on himself and strike a match
But will the dems accept a candidate who will move far enough to the center to get the suburban and moderate non-urban votes? I don't think they can win if their message is the gummit will take away private insurance to put everyone in medicare
