Why won't Democrats repeal the individual mandate?

Because the whole thing is a Ponzi scheme. Without a constant flow of money it collapses.

Why won't Democrats repeal the individual mandate?

Because it’s been Federal law for three years, it’s not some ‘new’ legislation.

Because it’s an important part of the ACA.

Because it’s Constitutional.

Because it has nothing to do with whether the Federal government is funded or not, and has nothing to do with ensuring the government’s debts are paid.

But that’s the wrong question.

The real question is why do republicans refuse to propose their own healthcare reform.

(Of course, the ACA is republican healthcare reform…)

That didn't stop Obammy from changing said law for the unions. Your point?

Want to know what else has been federal law for three years? The employer mandate and Congress not getting subsidies for health care. Funny how you don't mind that Obama changed those.

But those changes reward powerful lobbying interests. That's different.

That didn't stop Obammy form changing said law for the unions. Your point?

Herein lies your problem...it is a LIE.

It's a trap!!!

Take your dogma elsewhere. If you are going to parrot right wing faux news propaganda, buy a fucking perch.

The waivers are TEMPORARY, and they are business friendly. They allow businesses to make the transition without causing harm to people.

There is no sin except stupidity.

The point is that you, like most on the right, are clearly ignorant of how laws are passed and enforced.

If you believe the president failed to implement the ACA correctly, take him to court.

Otherwise, the Administration didn’t ‘change’ the law in any manner, only Congress can repeal or amend laws.

Hmm... so the law is written to allow leaders to grant arbitrary exemptions and delays as it suits them? Awesome! I suspect even you might be beginning to see how fucked up and anti-democratic this is. Rule of law has been swept aside in favor of corporatism. And you're shilling for it. Doesn't it make you feel just a little sleazy?

PolitiFact | Unions don't have to comply with Obamacare, says Crossroads GPS

I don't think that's what Politico meant.
This is what the AFLCIO is discouraged about:

Among its demands, the AFL-CIO wants union members belonging to so-called multiemployer plans, also known as Taft-Hartley plans, to receive the same tax credits that will subsidize health insurance premiums for low-income people who don't get health coverage at work. Those lacking employer-sponsored coverage will use the state-based health insurance exchanges scheduled to open Oct. 1 for plans that take effect in 2014.

Actually, the GOP thought that Obama failed to implement the ACA correctly (calling it unconstitutional), and they DID take him to court.

Guess what? The SC ruled that it was constitutional.

And you're right, only Congress can change the law, but they haven't yet, all they've tried to do was repeal it 41 times (all of which failed).

I'm shocked that some people don't know it's an actual law, and has been for some time. Lots of low information types (aka FAUX Nooze viewers) have stated repeatedly that it's a bill.

That is not what happened, but thanks for demonstrating why no one takes you seriously.

The most important function of ACA is, apparently, to funnel money to the insurance industry. That's the one 'feature' the Dems won't budge on.
