Why is it

I never said they all did. The overwhelming majority are subsidized through EITC and the tax code, though, and a great many enjoy WIC, State daycare, and other assistance. None provide a healthy model of the family for the child and few otherwise provide some father figure (which is more specific than other positive male role models such as male friends, grandfathers, or uncles). A tiny minority are wealthy enough that their children do not require significantly more investment by society at large than those in two-parent/two-earner homes, and the statistics show that all of their children are significantly more likely to become criminals or have other problems when they grow up than if they'd had two loving parents.

No, they just depend on millions of men and women whose money is taken via taxes to fund their illegitimate children in the form of WIC, EBT, effectively negative tax rates, and police, counselors and schools that have to deal with the resulting social problems.

Such progress :clap2:

You're broadbrushing all single mothers to fit your narrow, politically motivated view.

Not all single mothers rely on government benefits.
All? No. Many? Yes.
You don't think a single mom gets a visit from a social worker while still in the hospital recovering from birth giving her all the information she needs to exercise her options to give her infant the best her government can provide?

If they were "in the system" previously, they generally get a visit.

Otherwise they do not.

Assuming that any of this is correct (and you provided no links to back up your claims) what is you solution to this problem?

If they were in the system because they can't support themselves, why are they having children?

Planned Parenthood practically passe out Plan B, condoms, and bc to anyone who walks in.

BC was the worst thing to happen to women and society in recent history. It, along with the sexual revolution it accompanied, leads to a false sense that sex is without consequence, despite not being properly used by many of those who act on this impression, leading to the rampant spread of STDs and teen pregnancy to those outside of committed relationships.

A couple of years ago, my dad had a fall in his basement as the result of a drop in blood sugar.
Our family got a visit from a social worker in the hospital to 'assist' our family of his care options upon release.
We didn't request the visit.

OK, so what is the solution to the problem?

Society has made it too easy for the sperm donors to walk away.
No, women have, in the name of 'feminism' and to prove they 'don't need a man'. Men couldn't have done this if it hadn't been for the more extreme feminists who encouraged women to embrace promiscuity and single-motherhood as an achievement or mark of their womanhood instead of demanding commitment and sacrifice from men. Women lost the sexual revolution that the third-wavers started. Carrie Lukas has an excellent book on the subject. I highly recommend it.

TRASLATION: women are less likely to DEMAND marriage when they get pregnant becuase they can now work and NOT depend on a man for income.

Not quite.

Women still depend on men for income, but it's on a macroeconomic level. Women occupy the majority of white-collar jobs in America at the same time that America is crashing on a debt, service, consumer economy.

Without men, there is no income for women to earn a living from. It's just not in the household any longer. Furthermore, tons of American income comes from international finance. That's why you see the alliance between feminism and multiculturalism. Without multiculturalism, domestic women couldn't depend on foreigners for income...

...so domestic men are humiliated into menial labor jobs despite doing nothing wrong. In turn, feminism still says that multiculturalism, illegal immigration, and globalism didn't hurt anyone because there's no empirical study proving it despite how domestic men are living it.

As far as childraising is concerned, this coincides with social programs being used to tax people in order to take care of children en masse. If men get women pregnant, it's not cared about since children will be raised in public education and universal health care that everyone pays into anyway. There is a total deconstruction of personal responsibility, but women don't have to care because they have the white-collar jobs anyway.

You cant mandate marriage to people

But you can mandate the size of their sugary drink.......because it's good for them.

who mandated that you cant make yourself a 45oz drink?

I know it's tough, but do try to focus if you're going to participate. Grab another bag of Cheetos, sit down in your bean bag chair in your mom's basement and think before you post again.
