Why don't liberals in NEW YORK and CALIFORNIA want to pay their FAIR SHARE of taxes?

So once again the GOP is lying to try to claim that everyone benefits from the tax bill?
Everyone, meaning if your state is a piece of communist shit like New York, where taxes are fucking ridiculous, you are not paying your fair share, when you get a fed income tax break for your state taxes, when we get no such break in Texas....which means WE are subsidizing YOUR communist shit decisions and irresponsibility.

New York pays in more than it gets back. Does the inbred shithole you're from do that?

Watch what happens now in NY and CA.

There will be a HUGE exodus to lower tax states.

Those states with ridiculously high taxes will have to lower their tax rates, or lose their tax base,

No one should have to pay more than 50% of their money to the government.

In some of these areas, when you stack up all the taxes, people pay over 50% of the money they earn to the government.

That’s just insane.

I love seeing the rich liberals cry about having to pay higher taxes....just so fun,

I guess Trump's NY and Florida properties will take a hit.

Ummm.. New York is ranked 1 spot lower than Texas.

Pelosi says the tax bill is "THE END OF THE WORLD"

They are clearly racist.

They don't want to lose the SALT deductions because they want the rest of then USA to SUBSIDIZE their taxes.

TAX HIKE FOR YOU LIVING IN HIGH SALT TAX AREAS....SUCK IT.

You need to pay your fair share.

You need to stop lying, or listening to and echoing Limbaugh!

"The LAO also cites figures from a March 2016 report by the Pew Charitable Trusts. It found the federal government spent nearly $356 billion in California in fiscal year 2014, for salaries and wages, grants, contracts, retirement benefits and other benefits. That same year, California paid about $369 billion in total federal tax -- or about $13 billion more than it received -- according to the Internal Revenue Service Data Book, 2014."

"In January 2017, the California Legislative Analyst’s Office said by several measures California is, indeed, a donor state, but just barely. It receives $0.99 in federal expenditures per dollar of taxes paid, which is below the national average return for states of $1.22 per dollar paid, according to its review of a 2015 New York Comptroller study."

It's funny that the Carlos Danger types of NY hypocrite politicians have been offering tax incentives for new business for years under the Empire State Initiative but they won't acknowledge the fact that tax breaks stimulate the economy.

So you'd be okay with eliminating the Mortgage Interest Deduction and the employer sponsored health insurance exemption and having that benefit taxed as income, right?

If the net is lower overall taxes, anything needs to be looked at. Right now, I love the Mortgage Interest Deduction because it offsets egregious tax grabs. If the egregious tax grabs go away, I lose the Mortgage Interest Deduction but take home more pay, then I am open to that.
I appreciate your candor.

The MID and the health insurance exemption are the largest individual government subsidies in the tax code.

Far, far, far larger than the state income tax deduction.

The reason our tax rates and our federal deficits are so high is all the deductions, credits, and exemptions in the tax code. The MID is paid for by raising tax rates on everyone. As is every other deduction, credit, and exemption.

If we eliminated all these tax expenditures, we could easily balance the budget and lower tax rates for everyone.

Californians pay their fair share of Federal taxes. You just don't like that YOU have to pay any taxes. Myself I am fine with paying taxes to keep my nation on paved roads and free from republican fascism.

But, you have to admit, allowing a tax deduction for state income taxes incentives states to be irresponsible at the expense of other states who have acted responsibly. Texans don't get that deduction, so Texans are footing the bill for the portion other states get to deduct. Texans subsidize state taxes in other states.
