Why Doesn't The Koch Brothers Just Run For Office?

If they wish to be in power so much, why don't they run for a public position?

Any of you self-proclaimed conservatives care to answer that one?

can i take a stab at it?

1. they'd have to disclose their finances.
2. they'd have to take a pay cut
3. why would they? they have their hoards to do their bidding.

NAILED IT!!!

You libs are so stupid.

Do you realize how open you leave yourselves to the obvious alternative in making such an op?

Of course you don't! That would take INTELLIGENCE and the ability to be OBJECTIVE.

You aren't objective. You are just zealots.

What's the obvious alternative?

I bet it never, ONCE occurs to you!

Helloooooooooooooooooooo! WHY DOESN'T GEORGE SOROS RUN FOR OFFICE??????????????

DUH!!!!!!!!!!!

Idiots! Really!

Why are Establishment Republicans so afraid of these pinheads in the media? They couldn't think their way out of a paper bag!

(I can't wait for the first liberal to pathetically try and tell me how George Soros doesn't count.)

What's the correct syntax or grammar professors?

don't is the plural form you seek, grasshopper

That's cool.

I know it looks and sounds funny, prolly is wrong.

I was looking for someone to write it in the correct form.

Any takers?

The correct form (putting capitalization conventions aside) would be

Why Don't The Koch Brothers Just Run For Office?

Now that we've got that out of the way: one of them did. David Koch ran for vice-president on the Libertarian Party ticket in 1980 (David H. Koch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Charles was involved as well, and they claimed a moral victory with about 1% of the vote (better than the party had done before).

Why don't they run again? They clearly enjoy their current jobs as businesspeople/philanthropists/political activists. Standing for office doesn't seem fun to me and I would be surprised if either brother could find immediate success. I think it makes perfect sense for them to retain their current positions. There's certainly nothing wrong in and of itself with someone participating in the political process without standing for office.

MODs...

Do a brother a favor and change the title of this thread from "Why Doesn't The Koch Brothers Just Run For Office?" to "Why Don't The Koch Brothers Just Run For Office?"

That's a pretty big matzo ball I got on my face there.

Sorry. I read the thread, but I missed that your quote was actually a corrected quote. The original poster asked for the correct grammar after your post, so perhaps he missed it too.

Dude, the thread title doesn't matter.

You had the big Matzo ball of stupidity in your face, when you didn't consider how open you would be to the alternative question:

Why doesn't George Soros run for Office?

I bet you don't even think that's relevant do you?

I bet you don't!

welcome to post #19.

you people are slow tonight.

Why don't George Soros and Arianna Huffington and Warren Buffett and all of the other millionaire and billionaire left wing power-brokers run for a public position?

Any of you self-proclaimed LIBERALS care to answer that one? Probably not. It's so much easier just being HYPOCRITES and LIARS.

Honestly, what's so wrong with using fuels like oil and coal to power our economy. Why do so many people oppose anyone that supports it or works in it. We're damn lucky to have "big" oil pumping it out of the ground into our tanks.

Think about how much worst off we would be, while riding around on horses to and from work. Thank the Koch brothers that we don't.

I'm not as slow as Marc who NEVER once considered this before posting this thread.

I mean SERIOUSLY! How dumb can he be to get all self-righteously pissy about the Koch Brothers and NEVER ONCE CONSIDER that George Soros was around long before the Koch Brothers???

Liberals make it obvious when they bitch and whine about the Koch Brothers that their real problem is, they only think money should be donated to liberals.

Any time it's NOT donated to liberals . . IT MUST BE A CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!! :cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

Interesting. So is your belief that no one should be allowed to participate in politics except for officeholders and those running for office, or just that no one with money should be?

Again, your after the Koch brothers and Soros gives more money then they do combined. Hypocrites much!!

Dang!

I really wish that were true!

There are other differences as well ... Koch's had their money given to them. Yeah, just like FlipFlopRomney of the Magic Underwear Fame.

Soros and Obama both had to earn theirs.

Oh, OKAY. So the rule is that no one is allowed to participate in politics except officeholders, candidates, and people who the left have determined DESERVE their money. Funny, I could have sworn that participation in politics was the right of EVERY American citizen, but then, I'm not a leftist socialist dipshit, so . . .

What Marc is really saying is that no one but LEFTISTS should be allowed to participate in politics.

He can deny it, but I don't see liberals like Marc having a fit about the money George Soros donates to Democrats.
