Why Doesn't The Koch Brothers Just Run For Office?

If they wish to be in power so much, why don't they run for a public position?

Any of you self-proclaimed conservatives care to answer that one?

Probably because they don't want their souls to be tainted by the corruption in Washington.

Anyway haw the frak would I know?

Thank god for Big oil that we have cars and a modern society to enjoy.

Thank the koch brothers and people like them. Really, what on earth is so wrong with them?

They have changed the way society functions. If you like Plutocracy..then it's all good.

The new leftist phrase that pays is "plutocracy."

Nevermind that it's not an accurate term for whatever we presently have in our society.

Just SAYING it makes libs feel cohesive and all elite!

Small-businessmen, like the Koch Brothers, (just)......

"Koch Industries, a conglomerate of partnerships with 70,000 employees, owned by the billionaire Koch brothers Charles and David, is classified as a 'small business.'"

That's like asking why a pathologist doesn't want to have HIV.

Just because you're interested in the disease doesn't mean you want to have the disease.

I'm interested in politics, but I can't imagine anything more loathsome than a politician. The things you have to do in this country to get elected are disgraceful and despicable. Under democracy, the scum rises to the top, not the cream.
So you're basically suggesting that The Kochsters are the cream of the crop...yes?

Yeah, I'm sure the Koch Brothers have never done a day's work at that huge oil company of theirs. Probably spend all their time on the golf course or at Martha's Vineyard with Michelle and the girls . . . oh, wait, that'd be Obama. Never mind.

LoL! So you're one of Obama's biggest fans and just want him to stay at the Office and do more of his work...right?

Too funny!

Because you can't run for King.

In any case..they are already determining policy and writing legislation, just like Grover Norquist.

Who needs a vote?

And again it's only right to donate to liberals like Soros.

Any donation of money to conservatives is eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Unlike the left who claim we have too much democracy???????

In an 1814 letter to John Taylor, John Adams wrote that “there never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.” That may read today like an overstatement, but it is certainly true that our democracy finds itself facing a deep challenge: During my recent stint in the Obama administration as director of the Office of Management and Budget, it was clear to me that the country’s political polarization was growing worse—harming Washington’s ability to do the basic, necessary work of governing. If you need confirmation of this, look no further than the recent debt-limit debacle, which clearly showed that we are becoming two nations governed by a single Congress—and that paralyzing gridlock is the result.

So what to do? To solve the serious problems facing our country, we need to minimize the harm from legislative inertia by relying more on automatic policies and depoliticized commissions for certain policy decisions. In other words, radical as it sounds, we need to counter the gridlock of our political institutions by making them a bit less democratic.

Too Much Of A Good Thing | The New Republic

North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue, a Democrat, caused a bit of a stir this week when she suggested that maybe Americans should call off a round or two of elections and let politicians focus on government instead of getting elected.

Too Much Democracy? A Modest Proposal From N.C. Gov. Bev Perdue - ABC News

It's not conservatives calling for less Democracy, it's the left!

And all they are really doing is revealing what they truly want from liberalism.

An end to freedom.

Again, your after the Koch brothers and Soros gives more money then they do combined. Hypocrites much!!

Nope, sorry. I'm going to have to see proof of that allegation.

Soros gives .$3,023,932
Koch brothers combined. 596,840

They haven't changed anything, you dumbass. I can't even imagine what insane idea of human society you have floating in that diseased meat you call your mind, but there's nothing new here.

Tissue ? ......

It's pretty obvious what this thread is about is liberals are beginning to realize that Obama could possibly lose.

If he loses their dreams of changing this country into a socialist dictatorship "utopia" are dashed for generations.

So expect more of these threads that amount to YOU DAMN CONSERVATIVES, YOU DON'T FIGHT FAIR, BOO FREAKING HOOOO!

We really need to break out the violins for liberals!

You can't see it, but I now have out the world's smallest violin, playing, "My Heart Pumps Purple Piss For You" JUST to show how sad I feel for liberals.

'Cause I'm all about the caring.

So you're basically suggesting that The Kochsters are the cream of the crop...yes?

Where did I suggest that? However, I am suggesting that our current crop of politicians are all scum. There is no way in hell that an honest man can get elected to Congress.

How many honest men are at the higher echelons of Big Corp?

How honest do you think The Kochsters are?

You libs are so stupid.

Do you realize how open you leave yourselves to the obvious alternative in making such an op?

Of course you don't! That would take INTELLIGENCE and the ability to be OBJECTIVE.

You aren't objective. You are just zealots.

What's the obvious alternative?

I bet it never, ONCE occurs to you!

Helloooooooooooooooooooo! WHY DOESN'T GEORGE SOROS RUN FOR OFFICE??????????????

DUH!!!!!!!!!!!

Idiots! Really!

Why are Establishment Republicans so afraid of these pinheads in the media? They couldn't think their way out of a paper bag!

(I can't wait for the first liberal to pathetically try and tell me how George Soros doesn't count.)

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

They are far more honest than anyone who was ever elected to Congress. They don't have to debase themselves and grovel on a daily basis before people who aren't qualified to lick their boots.
