Now some say Trump hates the pot office, because they handle absentee and mail-in ballots, which in the age of COVID-19 would serve to boost voter turnout.

And why is Trump contributor and now postmaster, trying to slow the mail that the country depends on.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

But not any more.

Do you have any evidence whatsoever that President Trump "hates" the Post Office? I just don't see it.

The USPS is less important than it has been. People pay their bills electronically. They get their checks deposited directly into their accounts. They file taxes electronically.

It was a HUGE mistake for the USPS to pull of out Staples stores, it can be quite inconvenient to use them for mailing parcels

Its not surprising the Post Office is in current decline. And it has nothing to do with The Trumpster.

The Postal Union hopes that Sleepy Joe will bail out the USPS and not impose austerity on the declining agency. Who can blame them? Reducing postal staff means less men paying union dues to finance the union staff's lifestyle.

However, it doesn't change the fact that people are using different means to communicate and do their financial affairs and the USPS is in decline.
