There seems to have been tonnes of revolutions in France. It is a fascinating country. 1789, and other revolutions in the 19th Century. As well as revolts in the 20th Century.

THis is informal...but France has always had intellectuals that cluster at extremes. Add to that the penchant for electing fools.
Few people in modern history have made as many foolish decisions as Macron.
That fight over immigrants with Meloni was a classic.
