On Nov. 2, 2004, the Dutch filmmaker, author and activist Theo Van Gogh (great grand nephew of the famous painter) was riding his bike to work in Amsterdam when he was shot eight times.
While lying helpless and grievously wounded, he begged his assassin for his life crying: āMercy! Mercy! We can talk about it canāt we?ā But Mohammed Bouyeri was in no mood to talk. He calmly shot Van Gogh several more times, attempted to decapitate him, and then plunged a knife deep into the dead manās chest. Van Goghās crime was to produce a 10-minute short film, āSubmission,ā that highlighted the plight of women in the Muslim world. The Dutchman paid for his right to speak freely with his life.
We are often told that a few crackpot extremists do not represent Islam and it is unfair to associate their religion with violence because of unhinged men like Bouyeri. But in the wake of the recent Paris atrocities and now San Bernardino I have to wonder. I do hope this is the case. But I am a numbers guy, given my years on Wall Street. For me any discussion of global Islam and its place in the modern world, the West in particular, is to first deal with data, not hope. So here are some facts to frame the discussion.
Since 9/11, the watchdog site TheReligionofPeace.com has documented over 27,300 acts of violence around the world committed explicitly in the name of Allah and his prophet. This comes as no surprise to an historian as Mohammed himself waged over 60 military campaigns in which looting and murdering of his enemies while enslaving their wives and children were commonplace. He even personally oversaw the beheading of several hundred Jewish men and pubescent boys of the Banu Qurayza. Indeed, the Koran, which true Muslims believe is the unalterable final word of Allah, is awash in violent passages which both outnumber and supersede the earlier more peaceful recitations when Mohammed had not yet risen to power. There may be many peace-loving Muslims, but Islam itself, based on the teachings and examples of the man who founded it, is not, by definition, a āreligion of peace.ā

Iraqi Christians Persecuted by Islamic State Evacuated to Slovakia by Glenn Beckās Mercury One Charity

A privately-chartered Airbus 321 carrying 149 Christian refugees departed from the Kurdistan region of Iraq and landed in Kosice, Slovakia, Thursday. Each of the families on the plane had lost their property, livelihood and future due to the Islamic States terrorizing of the Christian Nineveh Plane in August of last year.
The operation was the result of weeks of planning by Glenn Beck and his charity Mercury Oneās Nazarene Fund. To date, the fund has raised more than $12 million, with contributions averaging $100 per donor. The focus of the mission was the evacuation and resettlement of displaced Christians from countries like Syria and Iraq to new countries where the refugee families could reestablish themselves and preserve their religion.
āI am so grateful to the 130,000 individuals whose generous contributions made this journey possible, and Iām sure, if they could, the refugees would thank them, too,ā Beck, who flew to meet the refugees in Iraq as they prepared to fly to Slovakia, said in a press release.
According to Beck, the Christian population has been in decline from the more than two million professing Christians who used to reside in Iraq and Syria.
āWhile the world watched in near total silence, their ancient churches and monasteries were destroyed, their children were sold on slave markets, their property was confiscated, and those who survived have faced extortion and continued threats of kidnapping and beheading,ā Beck continued.
The operation was conducted within international parameters and best practices, according to Mercury One. Additionally, the security, logistics and vetting processes were orchestrated by Peregrine Consultants, whose staff used a vetting strategy that āexceeded present international standards.ā

Not because of what they say, but because they all come off like barely contained psychopaths. But Widdle Glenn? C'mon. The guy comes off like Mr. Rogers.

hillary has not committed any crime at all ... even if she deliberately sent classified top secret Emails to her server .... the law states they only way she could go to jail or be convicted over that is, if a foreign country got that top secret information ... that has never happen ... so give it up... read the damn law that these ass clowns here who are saying she violated ...they fact that nothing has happen, she will never go to jail ... it doesn't matter who she is even if she's a clinton or not, going to jail will never happen because she hasn't violated the law in question ...3 2 1...

I will admit that fear of Glenn Beck is a real issue for me. I am afraid that he is going to start crying, talk about finding Jesus, his abuse of alcohol, and have a total breakdown while on the air, which would embarrass pretty much everyone.
