Why Do Blacks Dislike, Distrust, Whites?

They dont distrust whites they distrust the republicans

I disagree. If you noticed, that NBP guy didn't say, I hate every iota of a Republican craker!. No, he didn't differentiate between whites' political stances. He hates all whites because they are white. Liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican.

Blacks were much kinder and courteous when they knew their role. We gave them an inch, they took a mile, and want more. They will never be happy as long as they are forced to be around others, who are more affluent then them. What do you expect, of course they hate us. There are rich white people right next to poor black people, and they connect that they are poor because they are black, but that surely is not the case. It comes down to will power and ambition. Anyone can make something out of themselves if you have the motivation. Unfortunately, liberal culture has enabled blacks' dysfunctional culture. I think they hate people who have what they don't, ingenuity and motivation, and instead of relaying facts, the media spoonfeeds the public that it is racism that holds the black man down.

Why Do Blacks Dislike, Distrust, Whites?

100 years of so ago i can understand it, but now all it is a smoke screen.

That has now become the excuse for being lazy. The excuse for not working or getting an education.

Little more than fifty years ago it was still illegal in some states to inter marry.
Loving v. Virginia

the Civil Rights Act was not passed until 1964
1964 Civil Rights Act

Don't think that there were no long lasting social and economic repercussions to these legally sanctioned discriminatory laws.

This wasn't a hundred years ago, but a mere generation. That generation is still alive. The economic consequences imposed on one generation impacts the economic possibilities of the next.

You know I think you're one of the smartest women I know. So I want you to really think about this:
If your parents were black, do you think your chances would be better than they were? Would you blame them, knowing what you know as a white woman, or would you think structural inequity had something to do with it?

Well they do vote for a party that repeately has worked to keep black people from voting in elections.

Truth do me a favor and check out a few things from history.

1) Find out who (president) segregated our armed forces
2) Find out who (senator) filibustered the civil rights act
3) Find out who (president) started a war to end slavery

I'm not attacking your posts i'm just asking you to study up on a little history and I think if you research these things on your own you may learn some stuff you didn't know about.

And while your at it look up the "Southern Strategy."
DUH.

Depends. When I was a kid, I had a friend who was black and had an affluent family. His father was a lawyer, and his mother was a nurse. So he was much better off than I was, but that was then. Due to liberal policies, he could be dead or in jail now for all I know.

"Due to liberal policies?!"
Which are those "liberal policies" that would have incarcerated him or ended his life?

Agreed. That generation is still alive. And that generation worked hard. That generation wanted an education. That generation was so damn proud they didn't want hand outs all they wanted fairness. And i agree.

That generation also thinks that THIS generation is a bunch of idiots who have lost their way in everything they fought so hard for.

Yes if my ancestors were black i would be much better off. Every door of opportunity would have been open to me WIDER then just being white. My chances for a college scholarship is grater if i mark down aferican American. My chances at a city or government job is much greater if i mark down aferican American.

Is there an unfriendlier act than pulling up the ladder to success behind oneself and spitting on generations below?
Possibly padlocking the door to the bathroom at a beer bash...but the consequences are not as long lasting.

This is beneath you, Barb.

Let's keep this honest.

If there is the tiniest indication of what you suggest, it is way, way, more than out weighed by quotas, preferences and anti-white male bias.

As for a 'tint' of racism, as in your final phrase, surely you realize the intent of the use of the phrase 'people of color.' It means "everyone against you, whitey."

I never USED the phrase, "people of color," or "tint of racism." Perhaps you should go back through the thread.
And those who have gotten to where they are, in positions of power and influence, BECAUSE of affirmative action to then advocate the pulling up of the ladder (the end to the very programs that helped them get where they sit) does and has occurred with the voices of the very people Lone cited. That some programs have survived is no thanks to those who advocated against them. Pointing out facts will never be "beneath me." Unpopular perhaps, and oh well.

I used the phrases people of color and tint of racism, as cultural equivalents of your use of "Possibly padlocking the door to the bathroom at a beer bash..."
Thought you would see that.

Now, as for affirmative action...are you prepared to respond to the question of how long you would apply these racist programs?

1. Have you researched the effects?

a. Thomas Sowell studied the results of such policies around the world, and found the following: 1) ‘temporary’ programs expand and persist, 2) there is no way to assure that benefits go to the less fortunate members of designated groups, 3) polarizations increase vis-a-vis non-favored groups, and 4) increase of fraudulent claims of belonging designated groups. Thomas Sowell, “Preferential Politics: An International Perspective,” p. 15-16

b. Affirmative action was quickly expanded to women, Hispanics, Asians, Aleuts, Pacific Islanders, American Indians. How does one accommodate perks for those who are recent immigrants, who have suffered no such discrimination?

c. Applying affirmative action to medical education means that the liberal ideology is more important than the risk of producing incompetent physicians. Braverman and Anziska, “Challenges to Science and Authority in Contemporary Medical Education,” Academic Questions, Summer 1994, p. 14 SpringerLink - Journal Article
Is there no ‘safety exception’ for affirmative action?

d. The ‘mortgage meltdown’ has the fingerprints of this kind of thinking all over it. “The FHA’s urban-loan debacle of the 1960s and early seventies, its most ruinous lending mistake yet: politicians in both parties argued that extending the American dream of homeownership to poor and to immigrants would stabilize urban communities and prevent further violence. So in 1968, the federal government passed a law giving poor families FHA-insured loans that required down payments of as little as $250. Not urban uplift but urban nightmare followed. In the end, the government absorbed an estimated $1.4 billion in loss nationwide.”
Obsessive Housing Disorder by Steven Malanga, City Journal Spring 2009

2. The irony of claims of discrimination is that there is evidence that such occurs far more frequently in industries and businesses that are well regulated rather than those in which competition and rivalry predominates; the employer who hires the best people has the competitive advantage. As Thomas Sowell states, “Prejudice is free but discrimination has costs.” Sowell, “Preferential Politics: An International Perspective,” p. 22.

a. Discrimination against Jews was practiced far more often in regulated industries than in competitive ones, discrimination being costless where the firm was shielded from competition by regulators. See Becker, “The Economics of Discrimination.”

3. How can you accomodated racialism of affirmative action with the 1964 Civil Rights Act which outlawed private discrimination in employment and public accommodations?

"Due to liberal policies?!"
Which are those "liberal policies" that would have incarcerated him or ended his life?

Well Affirmative Action for 1. It’s discrimination against white people, and it needs to stop. It’s showing blacks that they need not study for a profession to diligently, for as long as they are black, they already have an advantage over whitey. And the media glorifying gangsta rap music. Black rappers crying the “n” word, but white people aren’t supposed to use it. Blacks degrading women, shooting cops, committing all types of crimes. If the media wasn’t run and set up by Zionist leftists, it would put rap in it’s rightful place, and it would be looked upon with disgust, not put on a pedastool. You can’t spell “crap” without “rap.” Rap music is but 1 mechanism to split up the Aryan race. Now, the black Jesus and his douchebag AG Holder, said that whites aren’t covered by Hate crime laws, only minorities. Again, what message do you think that sends to any black or brown youths? You won’t get a stiff sentence for inflicting any violence against a white.

:)

But your possibility of QUALIFYING for any of that is much, much less. The possibility of your parents being wealthy enough to keep you in HS (and not needing you to work to support the household) would have been lower, the chances that ANY primary school you attended had the latest books and technologies would be lower. The chances that you would have an accredited teacher would have been almost nil. The chances that the after school programs, were there any, would lead to a career OR academic path would also be lower. The chances the address you posted on your first resume would not have gotten it to the round file would have been lower. The chances of you being able to attend college full time would also be lower, as would your chances at successful completion, simply because you would also have to be working full time.

Truly, you MUST try to put yourself in others shoes, rather than putting another into yours to really understand our differences, similarities, and possibilities; and also to truly understand the limits to human potential imposed by the inequities of the not so distant past.

"Hypothetically" speaking of course, if I were black, I would bust my ass trying to diffuse all the negative stereotypes of my race, not perpetuate them.
