Trump counsel Patrick Philbin made crystal clear that the Mulvaney subpoena was issued improperly and while I appreciate the legal concept I find far more significant the need to preserve the integrity of the separate powers of the 3 branches. By endowing themselves with the power to bypass the judicial remedy available and force the executive branch to submit by declaring the POTUS guilty of obstruction was - as Prof Turley noted - an abuse of their congressional authority.
