We have lots of them here. I wish I had a bitch, name-call, and cliché filter for this thread since I'd like to hear some honest introspection rather than all the same old saws. So what attracts you about communism?

Who says anyone here is a communist? YOu're offering us a 'when did you stop beating your wife' fallacy. A classic 'loaded question' fallacy.
Factually establish your assumptions first.

I'll stick with the 'loaded question' fallacy to start. Factually establish your assumption first.
You're obviously one of them, otherwise the thread wouldn't interest you so much. Are you ashamed to admit it or something? We have lots of them here. Clearly, the OP is addressing communists and asking why they are communists. Why did you come here if you didn't feel it was aimed at you?
I have heard communism and socialism both defended here.
Reasonable question to ask if anyone believes communism actually works.

And who, pray tell, are these communists?

I guess that is for them to say, isn't it? After all, the question is directed at the communists. Why are your feathers so ruffled over this?
Countries fall to communism through incrementalism. They chip away at the foundation of a free society little by little, over time. There's nothing wrong with being vigilant and expressing concern about the encroachment when we see it, and there's nothing wrong with challenging them to a discussion.
