The policy does not fund abortions. Under federal law, Defense Department facilities can perform abortions only when the life of the mother is at risk or in cases of rape or incest, and those instances have been extremely rare. According to the department, there were 91 abortions performed in military medical facilities between 2016 and 2021.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

what a mess! Naturally he is from Alabama!

His base likes it. That's the only criteria.

Awwww, you can’t have your state sponsored child sacrifices.

Amazing how it all works, isn't it?

Oh look at you being dishonest - the policy will pay to transport military staff who are pregnant mothers - but wish to murder their kid - from a just and civilized state which bans this human rights abuse to one of the slave states.

For starters, such vile sociopathic pieces of shit with no conscience and no character should not be trusted with any role in the military. For seconds, making the taxpayer pay for any part of this is grounds for revolution or secession.

So the Senate is doing its job here thanks to him.

Why is it the women who squawk the loudest about "abortion rights" are always the old crones who have dried-up wombs that couldn't have a baby anyway?

So you want to make moral choices for the people in the Military....

You want to force your morals on others...

Its baffling that a policy like this exists in a modern state. Its no wonder that nothing gets done.

What exactly do you want the American military to do that would have an impact on your life? Where do you want the bombers to go?

My ommment relates to your government wasting time on trivia. They should let the services appoint their own people.

Are promotions and abortions wrapped up in the same bill?

Shame it's not more than one. We need to block ALL APPOINTMENTS to ALL POSITIONS made by the Biden administration. They have proven time and again that genitals/skin color/mental illness are more important to them than qualifications for each position.

BLOCK ALL APPOINTMENTS & FUNDING

The NCO's moving up in rank and Officers are more and more receptacles for having to deal with the personal issues of the soldier. It is not easy for them.

Hmmm, let's see. An unaccountable American military with lax oversight from Congress. What could possibly go wrong?

I'll turn this around to illustrate the vacuity of your position. What would your reaction be if the military took the position that trans people are not mentally and emotionally capable of serving with distinction, summarily drummed them out of the service, and Congress did nothing? Somehow, I don't think you would consider a Senator taking action to end that practice "wasting time on trivia". I think you would be up in arms, leaping around the campfire, hooting and hollering in support of the Senator.

Care to revisit your remarks?
