FDR may have beem a leader of bringing socialism to the US for which he deserves much of the condemnation he gets from many of us. But even so, he still does deserve some credit for getting US to fight the Axis evil.Reply
Socialism?

Shit, he took over all industry, labor and raw materials. Saved the world by doing so

Wrong. People who have studied Coolidge and have an open intelligent mind have rejected the baseless invectivbe of your fellow lolberals.

You remain ineducable.

Historians routinely rate Coolidge down with Hoover, Buchanan, Andy Johnson and the other FAILED presidents. He allowed the conditions that created the Great Depression to happen, and did nothing about them.

No ships are named after Coolidge, no schools, no bridges, no one considers him a great man.

Wow. You just combined an appeal to "authority" with an appeal to ignorance.

This is an illustration of why you remain completely and perpetually unpersuasive, joeyBitch.

No. He did not. Although he may have tried.

He did garner a massive amount of power for the Government, however, in time of war.

Still, on one thing we more or less agree: The U.S. involvement in WWII surely did help save the world.

Right, so essentially, who are these "Authorities" who claim Coolidge wasn't anything other than a useless sack of shit?

Nobody names anything after Coolidge. Not streets, ships, schools, government buildings. Theres' a reason for that....

The "reason" is that your fellow liberals all agree with each other. What a surprise.

And you have no basis of knowledge to either agree or disagree, so being a mere dolt, you revert to form and dutifully (ignorantly and stupidly) parrot the words of the "academic" liberals.

FDR was the best!

Reagan was the one that destroyed our middle class and flooded our country with the third world. He sucked.

I bet all those Japanese-American CITIZENS he interned during WW II don't think so.

You've destroyed yourself son by thinking the government should do for you what you're too damn lazy to do for yourself. FDR created that mindset and freeloaders like you ran with it.
I think the Japanese-Americans began voting Democratic as soon as the war ended. The question today: are the Japanese-Americans still voting Democratic. I would suspect so.

Since the historians began rating the presidents in 1948, FDR has never been rated by America's best historians lower than third best, and recently they rated him best, bar none, top of the heap. Conservative historians rate FDR just third best. No other president has been elected four times and none will likely be. Had FDR continued to live we would probably still be voting for him.

You mean they vote for the party that put them in concentration camps?

If Stalin had been an American president, he would have been rated the best. "Historians" on the government payroll are indistinguishable from paid propagandists for the government. It's no surprise that they favor tyrants who expanded government and diminished our freedoms.

Might check it out. They are not a stupid people, they even joined FDR's army, and that was from the camps. Not all of course but enough. Enough for America to change a lot of laws regarding Asian citizenship, Asian property ownership and so forth after the war. Some Japanese-Americans even went to the Pacific to help in that theater.

The historians did not work for the national government, most were university historians, local boys.

They still work for the government. Most of their salary comes from the government.

They sound pretty damn stupid to me.
