Who is for or against nanotechnology and in the future picotechnology and femtotechnology? The pros and cons of manipulating matter at the subatomic level?

    I'm all for it.

Birds gotta fly. Fish gotta swim. Humans gotta develop new and versatile technology.

It's what we do, for good or ill.

Don't you watch Stargate: SG1? Haven't you seen the trouble those things cause?

What if the technology for creating humans and other creatures living and nonliving, ie. a type of hybrid transporter and replicator, were to fall into the wrong hands and it would be used to form new and unusual forms of matter and creatures?

Haven't seen Stargate: SG1, but I believe it could cause much trouble.
