first it's the state employees that were being paid too much. Today I hear people saying that Federal employees are being paid too much. How much are you people getting paid who are complaining about this?

I got to admit someone is plenty good getting people who have nothing going for them to go out and fight to make sure others have nothing going for them, well at least until we get to those who have dam near destroyed our nation, they can get paid whatever it is they are worth, and dam it they deserve those 141,000 bonus checks from their employers on wall street and the banks.

But really I would like to hear just where do you people stand on the wealth/income ladder?

It's all a game. Let the middle class fight amongst themselves while the top 2% sit back and laugh there asses off.

You're just a flat-out liar. No one's said they are paid too much, the issue is the long term benefits and pension, which are indeed extravagant and are a massive financial burden to the states.

I didn't say this. I could never assemble words in English that are so egregious as this. Do ya know who did say this?

A fellow named Mort Zuckerman. He's the 147th richest man in America. He believe es that school teachers, cops, firemen are the new elites. Folks with jobs and benefits are 'the new elites'.

If you're working two or three or four minimum wage jobs and making ends meet by just a few dollars at the end of the month, would the 147th richest man think that you are now part of the 'new middle class'?

Why haven't you Conservatives (who love to tout what they think of as intellectual superiority) figured out that when you consolidate wealth as your bone headed "trickle down" theory has done so magnificently, you slow the economy to a standstill and impoverish the very customers the wealthy need to trade with.

The people who are complaining are the taxpayers. You know, the employers of these state and federal employees.

Personally, I don't think people who sit around watching porn all day need to be making 6 figure salaries.

How much I get paid is none of your business. The pay of those whom I pay, is my business; and that includes public servants.

Wrong!! The taxpayers are overwhelmingly for the public employees, including THIS taxpayer who probably pays more in taxes than you earn.

And what makes you think that elementary school teachers sit around all day watching porn? Or trash collectors? Or cops and firefighters who you would call on to save your sorry ass?

Bullshit. Pension and benefits are part of the total compensation package. And teachers in Wisconsin start out at 25k a year for a job that requires a degree. Yeah, those people are really raking in the dough!!!!!!

Again, no one's asserted their salary and wages are too high. But their long term benefits and pensions ARE.

    I'm a caseworker. I gross about $2600 a month.

When public sector employees are the only group that is gainfully employed, and they are making more than people in the public sector doing the same thing, then people start to notice.
