A higher proportion of blacks commit violent crimes than other groups, thus why blacks are more likely to find themselves in a violent encounter with a law officer.

So black people are MORE LIKELY to be shot by the police than white people.

What I find interesting is that the numbers for people shot of all races went "down" in 2020, but the number of people shot of unknown race shot up.
