White House moves forward with wall funding despite frivolous lawsuits

The most appalling thing about the STATE lawsuits is that ALL of these Attorneys General are the highest ranking legal officials in their respective states, and ALL of them know that this (these) lawsuit is bullshit from the word go. The states have NO STANDING to sue, which is one of the first things you are taught in a legal procedure course in law school. Slam dunk. No standing. Done.

And look closely for the PRINCIPLE that they are defending. Cut through all the bullshit, and it's, "We don't like Trump, and we will do anything we can to delay or defeat ANYTHING HE TRIES TO DO!"

That's it. Nothing more.

One can only hope that America is watching this foolishness.

They all know there is only one thing that they are hoping to do with the lawsuits. They are hoping to delay the barrier on our border until there is someone else in the WhiteHouse that will stop the barrier from being built or be more malleable, so as to convince them to stop the barrier.

Good! Ignore the damn courts if they rule against the constitution!

The courts cannot stop the first two pots. You don't need a national emergency
to access those funds. The lawsuits are to halt the national emergency. The
courts cannot tell the Sec of Defense that he cannot use Army Drug Interdiction
money to build the wall. That money has already ben appropriated to the Army
to do their part in stopping the flow of drugs into the country.

The dems are stirring up a fuss over 3.6 billion and only 3.6 billion.
The president already has his hands on the 600 mil from the drug forfeiture
fund, 2.5 billion from th Army drug program and the 1.375 billion from
Congress.

Couple that with the fact that he has already rebuilt 84 miles of wall and
has 600 mil still left from that pot to build an additional 45 miles of wall.

He'll build another 200 miles of wall before September.

And when September rolls around the next CR is gonna have the dems
begging to do business with the President. Obama's sequestered delays
kick in on December 1st. 55 Billion automatic cut in domestic spending.
I bet they'll be lining up asking for his support, which they will need,
to prevent Obama's cuts from devastating domestic spending.

Oh, hell yes. That's why none of them talk about what's actually going on.

The Donald fucked them all over.

From what I hear these suits will be easily won in court...most of the people claiming they will sue ...won't...because they will be told by their attorneys that they will not be successful....read the imminent domain clause and look at the cases won by the Obama administration on the border against ranchers and towns...we libertarians told you libs to redo it when you had the chance but Nnnnnnoooooooooo...you couldn't do that to Obama's white house.......

There is a very important principle at stake. Can Trump violate the Constitution which gives Congress the power of the purse to spend money that Congress refused to authorize. Americans are watching this and they are on the states' side not Trump's. The states do have standing.

That is likely what John Roberts will do as well. The courts will likely stop any construction of a wall. Roberts is likely to let it go through the courts. That is what is going on with DACA and why the Supreme Court refused to take a case this term. They are trying to run out the clock.

You have been watching too much fake news....he has the ability to designate defense funds and that will give him more than what he even asked for...so while he is battling Pelosi in court the wall construction will be well on its way....

You need to talk to someone other than Trump toadies. Judge Napolitano believes this will not stand. Alan Dershowitz has said this is not a national emergency.

It really doesn't matter if the Trump National Emergency stands or not. If it stands, Trump looks presidential. If the courts stop the emergency then Trump has the wall issue to beat the dems over the head with in 2020, i.e. the dems want open borders and to tear the wall down, the GOP wants to enforce immigration laws.

Libs: Trump ignored our lawsuits and is funding the wall anyway?

Everything Trump says is fake news. The Congress is charged with authorizing spending. and refusing to give Trump money is not a emergency. Even Trump toady Alan Dershowitz agrees. Try reading the CONSTITUTION some time.

Just like he had the issue in the midterms. That led to aa Democrat takeover of the House and a much smaller gain in the Senate than they expected and a loss in Arizona and a narrow win in Texas. Democrats also held New Mexico.

You need to go back to law school.
