I was given a 30-06 rifle with a scope that doesn't even have a name. I'm looking to buy a new scope for the rifle, but not sure of what kind to buy. Any suggestions?

Burris Fullfield II Scopes

For the money, they simply cannot be beat. The 3x9x40 can be had for under $200 (shop around). I've sold a bazillion of them, and never had one come back.

You can spend more money, but there isn't a better value out there, IMO.

I'd go with the Yerkes refractor telescope. You can pick it up at Williams Bay, Wisconsin.

Burris fullfield is a good scope. A Leupold is another good manufacture.

I assume this is a bolt action? If it is some sort of semi auto you need to get a real good quality scope due to the increased impacts of the operation. Maybe jump up to the $400 mark.
