I'm thinking that anything and everything he says, does or will do is and will be hated by default. BUT....what policy, Bill, narrative, rhetoric...etc would or could sway Libs and Progs to get behind this administration on any level?

For the record, short of resignation, I'm 100% convinced there is absolutely nothing he can do.

You forgot independents that moved away from the right because of trump, but I would lean back at least 30% if he legalized marijuana and regulated it like alcohol and reap the taxes.

Off topic a bit but I'm curious....are you motivated to see marijuana legalized because you're a user yourself or because you have a genuine concern in the related economics?

So long as the evangelical christians or religious right has a strangle hold on the gop, the answer is Nothing.

Forgot about that, but since you brought them up I know a couple of them who smoke marijuana and would like it legalized.

He would have to....

stop creating jobs
stop improving the economy
stop saying Merry Christmas
increase the national debt
make it harder for businesses to succeed
increase regulations
increase taxes on everyone
waste taxpayers $
etc...etc... etc....

All the the things obama did.

I did for 20 years and recently every once in awhile partake, but all these arguments about the deficit and taxes and health insurance the government could reap billions in taxes to pay for programs, infrastructure, etc. Just look at your state in the future, Co, Or, Wa, Ak.

Again, a little off topic.....I get the disdain for Christianity....Lefties are way too smart for religion....but OVERALL don't "Christians" manifest a more moral, higher grade society by sheer existence alone? Are you sure you want less of the highest quality people?
Look at all the predominantly "religious" states and communities around this nation.....then look at say.....Mexifornia, Loon York...etc.

Die yesterday.

That would be the only thing that would satisfy the bastards. So fuck them. No middle ground, no halfway reach out to them. NO bi partisan bullshit.

Democrats went all in on the 'Hate Trump Dump Trump' bandwagon on November 9th 2016. He could cure cancer and turn garbage into food, it wouldn't matter one bit to Democrats.

I agree 100%....Trump should be giving them the terms of surrender. The democrats have no morals and no money so now is the time to pounce on them like never before.

It's impossible to convince the crop of alt-left, socialists and communist sympathizers. The more moderate Liberals, especially those who understand the classical liberalism vs todays excuse for liberalism, can be converted, and I suspect many of them will. Too many others are lost already, tunnel vision without even questioning each other as it's forbidden.

Unfortunately there are some too far gone and the next crop of voters will hopefully not be indoctrinated to embrace socialism, as long as the education system does not continue to create anti-American, anti-authority, anti-capitalists. All it would take is a study of history, in different economic systems around the world, or, going out in the world, paying bills and seeking independence to realize socialism is horrible.

So far we've heard that if Trump would give free healthcare to lowlifes at the expense of the middle and upper class he'd win some over, if he'd legalize marijuana making it easier to deal with for losers / stoners he'd win some over, if he'd remove religion, something that perpetuates good quality people, he'd win some over, if he'd repeal tax reform that benefits the middle class heavily, he'd win some over.

$22 trillion spent on poverty and $100 billion per year spent on illegal Mexicans and not one Leftie says shit about wanting him to aggressively attack these issues which tie together. So what's my point?
Unless he works feverishy to make shit happen for our lowest grade citizens the Left is furious...proving once again the Left can't give two shits about the middle class or our most positive contributors...it's all about bottom feeders and filth and what he does for the most undeserving....MIND BLOWING!

There is probably very little he could do. There is probably little or nothing Hillary Clinton could do to win over most conservatives. That's partisan politics for you.

I'm not a liberal, but I'd like to see the president stop making the ridiculous, knee-jerk tweets. Same with his comments in interviews. I'd like him to be more deliberate and controlled in his communications. The man comes off as far too thin-skinned and lacking self-control when it comes to what he says.

When it comes to policy, I look more to Congress. That said, I'd like to see a simplified tax code, a serious overhaul of drug policy (the war on drugs has been a huge drain and mostly a failure), perhaps an honest reassessment of what nations we consider allies or enemies (I'm thinking of Saudi Arabia in particular), and a push to truly reign in government spending, probably in large part through cutting down on waste. The president can't do all of those things alone, but certainly could have an influence on getting them done. I wouldn't expect Trump, or any single president or administration, to do all of those things, but a real attempt to get any one accomplished would be great.

The idea that leftists are opposed to Christianity is a complete misreading of their words. Yes some leftists are atheists, but the overwhelming majority are Christian. But they are NOT evangelical Christian. They do not believe in imposing laws on the general population based on a brand of Christianity we find offensive which only 20% of the population subscribed to.

If you don’t believe in abortion, birth control, evolution or science, don’t insist that the 80% of the population follow laws based on YOUR beliefs.

Follow your own beliefs but don’t insist that the rest of the nation subscribe to them.

I always have loved Scott Baio's take on Trump curing cancer...

Scott Baio: Hollywood liberals would howl over jobless oncologists if Trump cured cancer
