What Trump Missing the Debate Really Means

That isn't the point. Did Reagan quit because a reporter was too tough on him?

He skipped the debate because it wasn't in his best interest to attend...just as it isn't in Trumps best interest to attend Fox's ambush debate.

So, go ahead...call Reagan a pussy.

Trump is no Ronald Reagan.

No, he isn't. But, he's riding the same wave Reagan did.

Not really. He has his die-hard supporters but he doesn't have the support of the majority of America which is what is needed to win.

And the demographics have changed since 1980, old bitter crackas are on their way out as a voting population

He started at 6% and now he is at 41%...and we're a year from the general election...at the rate he's going...he'll have the support and then some.

Who else has accomplished this? Everyone else is going backwards.

Nice side step. It is in Trump's best interest to attend because he's neck and neck with Cruz and acting even more purile isn't going to win hearts and minds.

The polls have changes so many times. I don't put ANY credibility to ANY poll until the GOP and Dem candidates (as well as their VP choices) are made. Until then it is reality show polling. You can buy into all you want, but then again polls had Romney winning by a landslide.

So. What are your thoughts?

He looks like a tantruming child. And it isn't just him skipping this debate, it is his overall campaign. His tweeter-tantrums show all of this.

It's not to say he isn't right about the establishment, but the way he is going about it and the way he carries himself is not someone that should be president. He is like the uncle that is always drunk at the family gatherings and babbles shit.
Hillary won't participate in anything that isn't staged, so for some reason I don't see a problem here. If Fox wants to be assholes then Trump doesn't have to help them make advertising cash at his expense.

A lot are calling him a sissy for not wanting to face Megyn. Others are claiming it shows a weakness or thin skin that is out of place for a president. (We see what that thin skin does every day with the current resident of the Oval Office) But, what does it REALLY show?

Someone who's out to show just what the media in general has come to in this world. He is standing up to deception from the likes of Roger Ailes and, yes, the Republican leader of the US Senate, Mitch McConnell.

The bottom line is Donald Trump is advocating for us; he’s representing the interests of all of us who are sick and tired of being lied to and manipulated by the Mitch McConnells of the world. So while campaigning, he’s taking them head on.

The story is @ URGENT REMINDER: Why Donald Trump Battles The Fox News Machine…

So. What are your thoughts?

That Trump worshippers will go to any lengths, no matter how ridiculous, to make excuses for that narcissistic blowhard.
Yeah.....pretty tough to defend Hillary, aye sponge lips?

Neck and Neck? What polling data are you looking at...nationally Trump is double Cruz plus...like 41% to 16%.

And in Iowa, Cruz has only managed to best Trump in ONE recent poll...by 2% with a 3% margin of error.

Well, you know, honesty is in short supply here at USMB.

It's still early. We haven't even had one caucus or vote yet. Once he starts winning states others will drop out.

Strangely, nobody believes in polls when they contradict what they are trying to sell...I can't imagine why. :eusa_whistle:

Fox is the loser here. I don't fault them for standing behind their employee. They should do that. It will cost them big time. There's really no one left to see other than possibly Cruz and Marco. The others don't have a snowball's chance and should already be off the stage. As much as I like Rand Paul, he is going absolutely nowhere. Megan should shut her mouth about Trump's non-participation. She's already alienated a lot of people by her performance in the first debate. She's beginning to sound like that Dixie Chic mouth. Just have the debate and reconcile yourself that you are going to lose viewership and move on.

Yeah, right. Why even have a vote? They are very close in Iowa and no way is Donnie's move going to win votes in this reality.

And its funny how people believe in polls when they agree with what they are trying to sell....I can't imagine why. :eusa_whistle:

Zing! Not half bad New Guy...you'll do all right here.

Time will tell which of us is correct.

While I'd love to do this all day, I've got things to do. Welcome to the board.
