The state’s so gerrymandered that Republicans can lose the popular vote and win supermajorities. Now they want to impeach a liberal justice before she’s ruled on a single case

Time and time again we see the GOP war on black voters in action. In Alabama and other southern states the gerrymandering is in full swing and denying black communities from electing the reps that they want.

I do wonder if it would not be easier to craft policies that appeal to black people rather than crush them under the iron boot.

But that really misses the point doesnt it ?

GOP war on black voters?

It is Democrats that have the war on black voters, because if you dont vote for Joe you aint black, and thus end up dead.

Gerrymandering is lawful in the United States ... with few exceptions ... and yes, skin color is an exception ... the difficulty is that black folk tend to vote Democrat ... so dividing up Democrats "looks like" dividing up by skin color ... the first is lawful, the second isn't ...

Republicans made sweeping gains in the 2020 election ... they dominate redistricting again, just like in 2010 ... stupid Democrats can't learn from their mistakes ... better Trump as President four more years and have Democrats control the State Houses ... but noooooo, we got theater and high inflation ... and Republican dominance in Congress for 10 more years ...

Gerrymandering is the least of our worries ... we're stuck with warmer winters ...

Elections have consequences, Taintboi.

Blacks are crushing themselves, no help needed.

The comments here — on both sides — reflect the present insane obsession with racial politics in the USA.

The fact is the big Democratic victory in electing a new liberal and female Supreme Court Justice there, and Republican’s corrupt gerrymandering of districts in Wisconsin & insane attempt to impeach the newly elected Supreme Court judge … really has little to do with African-Americans, who for their own good reasons have for decades tended to vote Democratic.

Wisconsin is over 80% white, and only about 6.4% African American. The 2020 census showed a rapid increase in Asian populations and Latinos, but they still are there in relatively low numbers. Those who now choose to designate as “mixed race” have increased very notably since the 2010 census, numbering about the same as those who self-designate as “African-American.”

The big issues that drove recent Democratic Party gains, especially in the election of the Supreme Court judge, seem to have been abortion and simple disgust with extreme MAGA politics.

She's already decided on the case without ever seeing it, the evidence, or anything else. She has no business on the Court if she cannot even stick to the basics. Not that a foreign hack would understand American jurisprudence. Probably best you stick to sheep and adding extra letters to already incomprehensible words like a good little Welshman.

She won her election by a landslide. And now the GOP wants to get rid of her. Because denying abortion and gerrymandering has little support.
Britain used to have rotten boroughs but we got rid of them many years ago. They sound like a GOP wankfest.
