More striking --- how dare this teacher suggest to his students that if you have a down syndrome child in your womb you should strongly consider aborting that child. That, is what this question is intending to plant in their minds. It is saying downs syndrome children could “morally” be candidates for the abortion mills.
1) It wasn't a teacher, it was an on-line test not affliated with the school district.
2) 91% of women who test positive for Down Syndrome in their fetuses choose to abort. Frankly, I have more sympathy for a woman not wanting to bring a child into this world with Downs than I do for the girl who has an abortion because she couldn't get her boyfriend to marry her.
I can cite a source, but I do not care to.
No, you plain old can't. and you aren't man enough to admit you can't. Doesn't your Sky Pixie have rules against lying?
I have dealt with years and layers of cynicism on these boards when it comes to providing evidence for God and for many divine manifestations. I already know the kinds of responses I get to them from those who have no interest in being sincere or set in their positions of denial. Usually mockery or suggestions of wild improbable “explanations” --- things like mass hallucination, weeping statues are all hoaxes contrived by nuns, etc. --- or more often than not just a quick dismissal or indifference.
We aren't talking about weeping statues, guy. You are claiming the Virgin Mary said something. Where is your proof she said it?
So what you are saying is that applying critical investigation to outlandish claims isn't a good idea?
Jesus said an evil age is eager for a sign but no sign will be given it except that of Jonah. Jonah was in reference to Himself three days in the tomb and the resurrection. No sign will be given means every sign or manifestation that God does or has provided they look for reasons to try to pretend it is not a sign or they ignore it. They may be fooling themselves, but not God.
Well, it would be nice if we could document that Jesus actually said that, rather than claim he said it in a Gospel written decades after his ministry.
