I wondered what ''southern heritage'' was too...and here I lived in the south most of my life.

I guess I broke the rules, since I married a yankee. Tons of yankees here btw...they tend to love the calmer more laid back atmosphere.

Seriously though, I have lived several places, and I find that people are people.

My grandmother is from the south, along with both my grandmother and grandfather's family. My great great Uncle was a KKK leader, and my ancestors fought for the south. I do not identify really at all with my southern hertiage, and my grandfather's family moved to the south in late 1600's.
