What do you think about Trump's comments about Mexican immigrants?

But, they are the MINORITY of those crossing the border! The MAJORITY are from further south - Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Honduras. ....

No, they're not.

All right. So it's clear that you think you're an expert on immigration and immigrants in general. That being the case, please tell us of your every day interchange with the Hispanic community and your close ties to the same.

I spend all day teaching Latino immigrant high school students (they are on summer break right now, of course) in a (very) urban school district, and several nights a week I teach adult learners at a community college who are majority Latino as well. These are two of my jobs.

Then, what nationality are the majority of your students?

With that as your background, I openly concede your expertise in the area. And thank you for the informative response.

Illegals are trafficking massive amounts of Meth into our country, killing and destroying our young people. You won't hear the asshole liberals talking about it, you won't hear about it in the MSM News, but National Geographic produce a documentary on it.

After illegals break our laws coming here, they continue to break our laws. They drive without a license or insurance, drive drunk, and kill and maim our citizens in accidents. I personally know someone who was about to begin her retirement, instead she was broad sided by an illegal drunk, nearly died 3 times, endured 8 surgeries, and will never be the same.

Illegals have no respect for our laws, they willingly scam American taxpayers out of over $4 billion dollars a year in fraudulent tax refunds. Did you get a $8,000 to $12,000 tax refund from the Federal government? Many illegals did.

Are these really the immigrants we should be granting citizenship to?

...and again, no links. just regurgitated Fox News rants......

So the criminality of the population that you are quoting is high. Right, that's why they've released about 160,000 criminal illegals, convicted of everything including murder and rape, in the last 4 years, yep, put them right back on our streets. So much for priority deportations.

China is one of the worst when it comes to taking their criminals back, State Dept should refuse them visas until they change that.

So the criminality of the population that you are quoting is high. Well, considering that the population that you are using in your statistics are deported illegal immigrants, and considering that for the last several years, the illegals deported were prioritized as deporting those who are convicted criminals, first, and considering that few illegal immigrants are deported who are not apprehended doing some sort of criminal activity, I would say that your population is not representative of the population of all immigrants who are undocumented.

Right, that's why they've released about 160,000 criminal illegals, convicted of everything including murder and rape, in the last 4 years, yep, put them right back on our streets. So much for priority deportations.

Good job dear leader, really good job.

160,000 criminals. Yet, once again, no links. Just rants.

Couldn't find the other article I read but here's an example of one of those years.

68 000 illegal aliens with criminal records released last year Human Events

Here's another little tidbit

250 Murders by Criminal Illegals Knowingly Released in 2014

i already responded to this. See post 139.

As for 250 murders by illegal aliens, again, consider the statistics. The best estimate that I know of of illegal aliens in the USA is about 12,000,000. Trump rants against illegal aliens in general. 250 murderers out of 12,000,000 people comes to a per capita rate of .00002. I am sure that New Orleans has a murder rate higher than that.

Not the point, they should have been deported before they killed anyone, they were already known criminals. Enforce the freaking law.

How can anyone be a known criminal, until he has been found guilty in a court of law? If he has, then he has been deported. if he returns, and is convicted again, and gets two years in the slammer, and deported again. If he returns again, he gets 20 to life in the slammer and deported again. Therefore, the only illegal aliens are those that have not been convicted of being illegal aliens. Now, if you want to round up all hispanics and demand documentation, that makes you guilty of profiling, which, as Sheriff Joe found out, is unconstitutional. If you want to deport every illegal alien who has ever been apprehended for another crime, then you are going to have to come up with some big bucks, because this is what we are already doing:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/12/us/split-second-justice-as-us-cracks-down-on-border-crossers.html

Keeping in mind that all illegals are housed in private, for profit prisons in AZ at well over $100 per day, and that all illegals are transported by for profit private companies in school buses, and that Central Americans are deported free by airplane, and that the border patrol has increased their employment by 300% in the last 6 years, not to mention a 300% increase in buying motor vehicles, how much percent are you prepared to pay in increased taxes to round up 12 million illegal aliens?

You argument is a non-argument there is no need to round them up all at once, if you enforce employment laws a send business owners to jail, the jobs will dry up and most will leave voluntarily. ICE is releasing convicted criminals, including murders, rapist, gang members, spousal abusers back on the streets, saying their original countries won't take them back. Yet the State Department is not using the tools available to them to force those countries to repatriate these felons by withholding visas to those countries.

But if you had bother to read the link, you would have seen this:

The data, released by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Robert W. Goodlatte at the beginning of a hearing with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Sarah Saldana, also showed that the 30,558 criminal aliens ICE knowingly released back into the community in 2014 had amassed nearly 80,000 convictions, including 250 homicides, 186 kidnappings and 373 sexual assaults.

Is there something you don't understand about a criminal alien, they already had convictions.

I don't understand why he is always bashed for his views. Seems like the main media outlets are doing everything possible to discredit Donald Trump. Not a single candidate is attacked so frequently. Maybe it's because he has his own opinion on things? Anyway, if you look at crime and immigration rates he is right. The majority of crimes are being performed by illegals and everyone understands that.

I think it's great, he's the first person out of the Presidential race. Nothing better than seeing a man with a dodgy toupee killing his own bid dead so damn quickly.

lets SEE, three weeks ago they were using black people, last week homosexuals, THIS week Latinios/illegal immigrants. who would want to belong in a party where they don't see you AS INDIVIDUALS ? They see you only AS A GROUP to be USED by them for their snake/dirty politics? How low down and offending
