What an IDIOT!!! Guarantees USA to Rid fossil fuels" yet promotes the worse emitting country!

I'm saying they will improve. Sanctions against Venezuela was just a spite move that caused a surge of Venezuelan illegals.
Why and how? Why should Venezuela clean their emissions once sanctions are lifted? Whether the sanction move as spite and the resulting immigration surge is not relevant to the correlation between sanctions and clean emissions.

We're talking production emissions.. sanctions didn't help. Trump just wanted to punish Maduro.. that's what caused the surge of immigrants from Venezuela.

It's always the belief that America was responsible for everyone else's misery, with you unrepentant neo-Marxists.

I could have set my watch to that response. :laughing0301:

Because they will have money to invest in best practices.

Lol 😂 you have Marxists on the brain. Communism has failed everywhere it's been tried...and the US is not at risk in spite of your ignorant hysteria.

Well what do you want me to call you? Commies? Socialists? Liberals? Progressives? Globalists?

At this point, there's really no difference to me.

I’m not questioning whether they will have the ability. I’m questioning their incentive or motive to invest or not invest. By not not investing in cleaner emissions, they will have higher profit margins.

Facts... More than 187,000 Venezuelans crossed the U.S.-Mexico border without legal permission in the 2022 fiscal year, which ended Sept.Oct 22, 2022
How many total illegals ending 10/22/22?
The number of undocumented immigrant crossings at the southwest border for fiscal year 2022 topped 2.76 million, breaking the previous annual ...https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigration/migrant-border-crossings-fiscal-year-2022-topped-276-million-breaking-rcna53517
That's 6%. OK so no more spite moves.. still leave 94% illegals!
Facts are Biden told the illegals : "surge to the border" and that's all they heard and that was good enough for them!
I would, in fact, make sure that there is, we immediate surge to the border, "

Just one of many truly dumb idiotic comments by this mentally challenged 80 year old!

You can thank Trump's spiteful sanctions.

This is a fair explanation of what happened. Nationalization of oil and gas can be done properly. US companies were reimbursed.

A fair explanation? The author pretty much dismisses the fact that Venezuela stole the assets that private companies built. And this was at least the second time they did this. There is no adequate compensation for theft, hence sanctions.

The author claims the root of the problem goes back 20 years? Technically it goes back much further, to every time a new despot leader takes over the country.

The only problem with Venezuela's oil industry is it was nationalized. Yes you can argue other countries nationalized their oil industry but then why the difference in Venezuela? It must be a country that is ran by the corrupt, the greedy, which destroyed International Corporations confidence in investing.

Sadly, the Forbes article is singular in its focus. As if only a better managed oil industry and a little better government would fix the problems in Venezuela.

Venezuela's problems, are very simple. They rejected CAPITALISM and the USA. Not only did Venezuela nationalize U.S. companies in the oil sector, but they did that in all sectors. Venezuela than turned to other third world companies to replace U.S. companies. This resulted in corruption and crucial projects being delayed, unfinished, and even more expensive. Corruption as in the money allocated for these projects disappeared.

Yes, corrupt dictators in the third world do not belong in power, and us, the USA which suffers the refugees, we should destroy these dictators with our military, for our sanctions are slow, yet people like you I suspect would cry much louder if we destroyed the dictators with our military.

Venezuela, much of their electricity, almost all of their electricity comes from Dams. Throughout the years, there has been droughts, some lasting many years. Pretty hard to run the Oil industry without electricity, and that is exactly what happened. That and of course nationalizing the free world corporations.

Venezuela made it's bed, now the people can rise up, install a new leader, and beg us for help, promising to play nice, or they can be a piece of shit third world hell hole.

People in the USA wont allow us to make the choice, so it is up to the people in Venezuela to decide.

Biden of course, he is happy to be a corrupt president, giving our money and expertise to corrupt dictators. Funny how they seem to so friendly.

They are going to get some help from Chevron plus lifting sanctions plus renewing their business refining Iranian oil.

That is such an important point. We have a 2 Party system and one of the parties is dedicated to undermining this great country to establish permanent Democrat rule.

Prove it's just one of the "parties"
I say it's BOTH parties all but for a very few good men.

You really can't be in either mainstream party without toeing the party line.
What you mostly see is a dog and pony show where many PRETEND to be Republican and PRETEND to care about Conservative values.
Then they vote against your beliefs time after time regardless of any convincing campaign speeches that had you cheering\ voting for them like a good lapdog.

US behavior towards Venezuela is not something to be proud of. US companies were reimbursed which is standard in nationalization.

Nationalization, the rejection of freedom, the rejection of capitalism. You can never adequately reimburse a company for the lost profits of the future. Had they wanted to simply buy a refinery, than that is what they should of done.

Nationalization should never of been tolerated, anywhere.

trumps sanctions aren’t why xiden has an open border policy

We don't have an open border... We still have US Customs and Immigration and the US Coast Guard. We still have 21,000 border patrol agents.

If you want to solve the illegals problem fine employers who hire illegals.
