LOL - the guy can't remember how many affairs he's had. What an @sshole!

Geez, Do I Have to Add 'Em All Up?

AP Interview: Democratic Rep. Tim Mahoney admits having affairs, but says he broke no laws

Rep. Tim Mahoney (D-FL), responding to the question of how many affairs he's had: "You're asking me over a lifetime? I'm just saying I've been unfaithful and I'm sorry for that."

Pfft. That one was so obvious, it was hard not to trip over it. It's amazing that some people are even allowed to purchase a keyboard.

I go to war when I read a journalist, a wordsmith - confuse "prevaricate" with "procrastinate". The number of times I've read senior (ie in Aus - Canberra press gallery) journos use "prevaricate" when they mean "procrastinate" is amazing.

I'd love to actually do something about it but I'm such a prevaricator that I never get around to it......

are you the grammar police this morning Shattered? how about a comment that he's coming out against a Dem even though you rightards claim that the Dems overlook ALL series of disgusting behavior from the left?

It's more important to point out that he used a instead of an?

thanks for being the board's grammar and spelling nazi.

I just woke up, and I accidentally forgot to type the "n". I need my second cup of coffee before I can actually practice standard English.

I'm sure, if you have the time and interest in spell checking and grammar checking people's posts, you could spend all weekend trolling around the board to serve that function.

At any rate, I've never heard of a guy who can't remember how many affairs he's had. What a schmuck!

Exactly! I know I'm a bit pedantic when it comes to words (since I am nearly innumerate I know I'm actually compensating) but reading that from senior political journalists here and knowing it had to go through a subbie to get onto the sheet is annoying.

I learned in recruit training that "prevarication" meant lying and if you did it in the witness box you could find your arse in the slammer. I knew all about procrastination because I am a procrastinator.

Sorry, didn't mean to impose a rantlet on everyone.
