Seriously, that is just what we need, more government intrusion and regulation. The reason why the experts disagree (I didn't even know "sexbots were out there!) whether these will lead to more incidences of attacks on REAL people, is because not all people are the same.

With healthy-mind individuals just looking for a release, it likely won't affect their interactions with others at all, but with borderline sociopaths, people who already have social issues with people, it might.

Problem is that they DON'T KNOW, so before they put the cart before the horse, they ought to wait first until they have evidence either way, then decide how they are going to yet again intrude on other people's lives. You never know, having a "sexbot" may instead keep some people from NOT going out and assaulting real people!

As robots replace humans in various jobs and roles, the owner will undoubtedly have the ability to program these robots. And they will undoubtedly program them to lie in many cases. Suppose a robot programmed to lie causes the death of a person. Is the person that programmed it liable? Even indirectly?

There is not a single reasonable argument against sex bots. Especially sex bots that can be raped, abused or even "murdered" day after day. Child appearing robots for sex would do away with pedophilia. It is the next logical extension of porn.
