War, I'm bummed to say seems to go hand in hand with humanity. To date, I don't think there's been a single year of global peace. Always been a war raging somewhere. Think the ease with which we give in to fear and opt for aggressive displays is more about our basic nature and drives than anything having to do with media or other mass influences. We're still evolving and it may be that homo sapiens, our current version, is what'll be considered mind-numbingly primitive by some future version.

They can find no damage nor evidence of destruction but soon learn that their war is essentially a war game, where each planet attacks the other in a computer simulation with the tabulated victims voluntarily surrendering themselves for execution after the fact.
