Not to mention the under both Clinton and Obama, illegal border, crossings, declined to record-setting levels, because both presidents prosecuted, large companies, employing, illegal immigrants, vigorously.

The moment Donald Trump ceased all prosecution of employers, the number of illegal crossings started rising. Just like they started rising, when W ceased prosecution of all employers of illegal immigrants.

When the DOJ prosecutes employers of illegal immigrants immigrants, the employers stop hiring illegal immigrants. Without jobs waiting for them on the American side of the border, the illegals stay home. The moment the American employers put out the “now hiring illegals” signs, illegal crossings spike.

Not only don’t do Democrats prosecutions of employers Result result in reduced illegal border crossings, the fines paid by the employers, more than cover the costs of the investigation. Reduced crossings and reduced arrests, reduces the cost of border enforcement.

Going after the employers, instead of the border jumpers is a win-win for the American people: (a). reducing the number of illegal immigrants entering the country, and; (b) reducing the costs of border enforcement.
