You can't become a citizen unless you're willing to take a long time, pay a lot of money, fluently speak their language and demonstrate you understand their culture and customs.

I'd also toss in that you can't vote in any election the first 5 years of becoming a citizen and you are required to maintain employment those first 5 years with no lapses.

After four years of racist border policy banning anyone coming in from the south, of course there was a backup. It's too bad the GOP has destroyed the economies of these countries, not to mention the global warming that is ruining them down there with droughts and Hurricanes. A good guess is that 70% of them are given asylum and already have family here. Cuba is communist, but many of these countries have been sanctioned because they call themselves Socialists and Americans believe that socialism is communism when actually there is democracy between them also capitalism LOL. These people should stop listening to communist Nazi and GOP propaganda about it, the three biggest liars of the last 100 years....

Yeah we've been sending lots of money to Venezuela Nicaragua and Cuba LOL- what are you crazy- or Honduras or Guatemala you have no clue pal. For one thing we have less than one percent of budget for foreign aid whereas Norway's 17%. Actually of course we have debilitating sanctions on those countries.
