First off, you can't just tear up treaties. It's not that simple.
As far as getting people to bring jobs back, give them tax breaks, and other incentives, to bring jobs home. Also, heavily penalize companies like Carrier who off-shore their manufacturing. Also, heavily publicize and shame companies who export jobs to Third World Countries. Promote American made as better.
There are lots of ways of doing it. In Canada, news services promoted a story that Royal Bank of Canada had contracted out a call centre to a third party company in India, which resulted in the loss of 110+ jobs in Canada. The bad publicity and citizens outrage caused the Bank to cancel the contract, and saved Canadian jobs.
Of course you'd have to care whether or not your friends and neighbours have jobs. A lot of Americans have this "every man for himself" attitude. And not just the friends and neighbours who look like you but everyone in the country.

They didn't have a fit of the vapors over that and they have only minor qualms about Hilary clintons mendacity. They say Donald's economic plan will increase our debt, yet Obama doubled our debt in his term and there was no repudiation. They say Donald will cause the world to become more unstable, but the world is a far more dangerous and violent place since Obama has been in power. Obama has no strategies for defeating Isis, dealing with Russia or China, reigning in Iran. Our own military and diplomats say that today our enemies don't fear us and our allies don't trust us. I guess the editorial board really saw that one coming. Domestically race relations are the worst since the 60 s, funny how,the editorial board doesn't lay that at the feet of Obama. Obama has been rebuked many times for overstepping his authority by the Supreme Court but the editorial board doesn't see that as a threat to our democracy. We have a president who has not learned from history, who dismisses the founders and the constitution, who is the most unamerican of any president in history, and who has publicly declared he will fundamentally change this country. Where was the editorial board on these threats to our democracy. Hint: they want to fundamentally change America too.
The point is that every single accusation leveled at trump, Obama has already done. The hypocrisy from one of the nations so called leading voices is epic. Trumps efforts to draw in the lgbt community, champion the poor, hold our erstwhile allies to account, speak for veterans who have no voice, and even tamp down his off the cuff remarks go unnoticed by the Post. Trump with all his failings could not possibly be worse than Obama. What scares the hell out of the Post, is that someone might win the presidency who believes in America, not globalism. Obama has ISIS on the run, their leaders have been killed, and their soldiers are deserting by the thousands. None of the recent terrorist attacked in Europe or the US were orchestrated by ISIS. They were carried out by "lone wolf" attackers, inspired by ISIS.
