Was Geraldo interviewing his daughter in Paris last night good journalist ethics?

His daughter was at the soccer match, and he interviewed her live on-air about the bombing. Is it just me, or was that like way out of order?

It was on Fox so it had to be out of order. If he had done the interview on MSNBC or CNN it would have been just fine.

What in the world would be unethical about it? If she was at the match she's an eyewitness and thus a great interview. The fact that she's his daughter is completley immaterial to the journalism.

If a conversation between Geraldo and his daughter about an international event is interesting enough why not go with it? It beats some of the inane interviews that journalists have with other journalists.
