I wouldn't know about Burlington, never been there.

Burlington is like Berkeley.

I find that a little hard to believe - I live on the Berkeley border now, and lived in Vermont for years.

Vermonters don't strike me as the type that would put up with nanny-state bullshit like soda taxes and smoke-free streets.

The world doesn't exist in a purely "left-right" spectrum. I have no doubt of how "left" Burlington is - but that doesn't make it like Berkeley.

You can't buy handguns at liquor stores in Berkeley.
