I have seen MBA's hired in and screw up or have to be baby sat in operation, and top flight Masters Degreed accountants totally screw up at the chance to run a branch or plant. Republicans have never cut both taxes and spending, they only cut taxes, and it never produced a booming economy. It's the spending increases that produced the booming economies. The tax cuts have all resulted in a crashed economy, and kept reducing wages for 40 years.

Republicans in the House and Senate shut down the government, thinking Clinton would get the blame, but the public wasn't that stupid back then.

Of course FOX News was in its infancy, and hadn't brainwashed nearly 30% of the population at that point, so Americans weren't as gullible as you clearly are.

In addition, the Republican Party hadn't been completely radicalized. They were genuinely conservative, and willing to compromise with Democrats - neither of which is possible today.

There was no internet or international disinformation campaigns 1995 to confuse things for you. Half the nation wasn't in the thrall of billionaire owned right wing media. Republicans had only crashed the economy once, and the national debt had only endured 12 years of "deficits don't matter".
