My personal favorite is Ridgefield CT, so that while the crowd may be small, you can tell they are sincere:
I wish they would hold one in Chicago on a Saturday! I may play hooky on the 15th, gonna have to see where things are in school then, but I'd really like to go.My personal favorite is Ridgefield CT, so that while the crowd may be small, you can tell they are sincere:
Was just about to post the blog of someone who went to that protest...

I'm a CT resident too... I should totally get off my lazy ass and attend one
The libs have a point on that the cons ranted about them protesting, and now they are ranting about the same statements made by their "opponents" ... the irony on both sides is lost to the partisans.

No, the irony is that the 'cons' ranted about the media coverage of sometimes small groups obviously organized by groups like ANSWER and The Communist Party. They said they were to protest the war in Iraq, yet they were carrying signs of Che and Stalin and chanting about Israel and Save the Palestinians. It was zoo time, but the media lapped it up, especially when they'd go naked.
The media is still doing their best to give coverage to them, like the 40 on the AIG bus tour-again organized by ACORN and ANSWER. 40 protestors, 18 of which were organizers. Press included Reuters, NYT, AP, Spiegel. Go figure.
Now take a look at all those people above, some from pretty small areas. How much press do you see? National coverage? LOL!

Just as some of those protesting the newest policies are holding signs that are:
Mudslinging at Obama.
Christofreak predictions (not many but there were a few in our area).
etc, etc, etc.
The irony is that both sides keep whining about what they do themselves when the other side does it. Also I know you don't like broadstroke brushes, at least you claimed it a couple times, so why are you painting your own side with one?
The fact that you can only see it as wrong when one party does it and not the other is just as bad as the other party ... period.
I applaude those citizens who have gotten off their asses to FINALLY protect a government gone insane.
Damned shame they couldn't find the balls to have done that when it might have helped.

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) - A huge crowd showed up at Orlando's Lake Eola Saturday afternoon, to take part in a national movement called the "Tea Party." It's a throw back to the Boston Tea party, but this time, tea isn't being dumped into the sea.
Cities nationwide have been holding the so-called "Tea Parties" as peaceful protests driven by conservatives who say they want less government, less wasteful spending, fewer bailouts, and no socialism. The "Tea Parties" are filled with people ranging from young and old, to current voters and future voters....

Many disagreed with the tactics of the war, not the war itself. There were arguments for both sides. Those who agreed or at least didn't oppose the war, were unlikely to get off their asses and protest the strategies, though many wrote to voice their opposition and to support McCain's call for more troops.

Aaah ... grasshopper is learning. On both sides there were many things about the war that people liked or didn't, and almost everyone I have spoken to on the subject has different reasons, though none said that they liked or disliked the war. The protesters on any side just come up with a unified stance, and that's what they all choose to go by, with a few stragglers that like to interject their own agendas. It's true of all protests really. The problem that divides people is that too many want a black or white answer, yes or no, for or against, instead of logic. This creates friction and forms more extremism instead of solutions. There are always more facets to everything than a protest can show.
ROFLMAO yeah right what ever...
Here's Portland's:

Sadly I left before they started walking down to the river.... Didn't find out about it until the night before and had an appointment that I couldn't get out of.
ACORN adored, Tea Party ignored
Hmm. Maybe if a Lady Godiva were to have shown up in Ridgefield, the Connecticut Post might have noticed a Tea Party protest that was 7 times as large as the protest the newspaper devoted most of its Sunday Page One to.
