I've been warning people of this stuff coming for a couple of years. One of the chief REAL reasons they want you driving an EV. Not file your taxes, not pay your taxes, commit a crime, skip your property taxes, violate a traffic law, skip out on your alimony to your ex wife, exceed the speed limit, whatever pisses the government, banks, employer whatever off and they will just disable your car.

The rest of the time, your car will be spying on you, collecting data on you, reporting on you to the authorities just like your cellphone.
