There’s been a whole lot of media attention on a couple of instances of the First Lady “swatting away” the hand of the president. That same media has totally ignored the instances where they walked together hand-in-hand, close together.

Let’s stop to think about that for a moment.

Melania is European with that outlook. She is also a very intelligent and successful lady in her own right. And, last but not least, she is a mother. Part of her experience is dealing with visuals and their importance in the scheme of things.

Has anyone stopped to think that perhaps she is the one leading the visual effects of the president’s trip? Maybe she understands there are times when the president is representing the country she loves and needs to stand alone as its Chief Executive. And, maybe there are others when she understands its in his best interest to be a husband and father.

Let’s compare those times.

Walking across the tarmac or meeting foreign leaders. She takes a role in the background and lets the president take the lead. Walking to holy places like the Church of the Seplechre or inside the Vatican, they hold hands as she is at his side in the place she feels she needs to be.

Interesting, isn’t it. (No links as these are my personal views.)

Smart enough to know when she has had enough

Interesting but wrong. Perhaps you should have found some links. The media hasn't totally ignored other instances.

Your link was nothing but a not too subtle attack on the president using Melania as their foil. Yes, it gave her a great deal of credit for her wardrobe choices and visits, but it was also an attack on their relationship. No matter how hard they try, CNN sources are unable to do anything to make unsubstantiated innuendo and attacks on the president.

Irrelevant. Your post was about ignoring Melania. The fact they also mentioned the Trumps' relationship is neither here nor there. It was actually a small part of the article compared to the things they said about the First Lady. Intentional bad press is unfortunate, but so is parsing a positive story until you find something to complain about.

Melania is very smart. She has a degree in architecture from a major Slovenian University............oops, no she doesn't

Well she was smart enough to write her address at the GOP convention.........oops, no she wasn't

But she is smart enough not to sleep with the orange Oompa Loompa

I don't think any of this is a reflection on Melania.

Trump walking ahead of Melania and leaving her to follow is a reflection on Trump.
