Even if he did call her Mercedes let's not pretend like not every single person on earth hasn't slipped up when speaking sometimes. I've done it before, had my mind on other things and called someone the wrong name because I was thinking of someone else, or said the wrong word that was somewhat similar.

It isn't as if trump is constantly doing this multiple times every speech and has chronic impairments. Even if it were Biden and he normally spoke clearly and articulaty 99% of the time id still defend him him in the sense that he just goofed up, as we all do.

But trump calls out people he sees all the time when making speeches. He will see someone and randomly make note of them. And that's what happened here.
