Turn your neighbor in to Obama

Everyone who is an opponent of what the current congress and administration are doing should read the following from "Rules For Radicals".

It is the playbook the DNC and the Obama admin are using.....in order to fight thy enemy you must first know thy enemy.

Rules for Radicals

Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.

Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people.
The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”

Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport, Chicago city authorities quickly agreed to act on a longstanding commitment to a ghetto organization. They imagined the mayhem as thousands of passengers poured off airplanes to discover every washroom occupied. Then they imagined the international embarrassment and the damage to the city’s reputation.

Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

Centrism, you are in denial, it's right there in black and white and right in front of you.
And I've cited it many times already.

So far I've seen nothing from the "anti-blog" crowd but fearmongering, and its results. Show some evidence of sinister illegal activity in the administration and I'll reconsider. But right now you've got nothing.
Nah nothing sinister, nothing illegal .

First, we will expand the restriction on oral communications to cover all persons, not just federally registered lobbyists. For the first time, we will reach contacts not only by registered lobbyists but also by unregistered ones, as well as anyone else exerting influence on the process. We concluded this was necessary under the unique circumstances of the stimulus program.

GOP Senator: White House Encroaching on First Amendment

http://www.usmessageboard.com/newthr...newthread&f=19

Mattskramer's position:

First of all, the title for the article is miss-named. How is having an email being forwarded an encroachment on the First Amendment? You are still free to speak (or email) but you might just want to proofread what you type before you hit “Send”. My father used to say that you need to be clear, concise and careful when sending emails because they might get forwarded. A friend of mine once forwarded an email that I sent that I did not intend to have forwarded. Sometimes people don’t know when what is being given is intended to be a secret. If what you have to say is personal, let him know that it is personal. That is all that there is to it.

Also, don’t be afraid to speak your mind. You are still free to criticize the president today, at least to the same degree that you were free to criticize Bush during his term in office. Besides, how will the White House know that you have a gripe (or a misunderstanding) unless it clearly hears what you have to say?

Right off hand, I think that this might be a good idea. Questions and concerns will be received and evaluated in a better fashion than they did during that disrupted Philadelphia Town Meeting. It is pretty hard to have what amounted to a rude shouting contest in a crowded auditorium when email is used.

Finally, please don’t get paranoid. No one is going to come banging on your door and haul you before the House Committee on Un-American Activities. Those shameful and embarrassing days of McCarthyism are pretty much dead and gone.

First off, you really should brush up on your reading comprehensions skills because you exhibit none. This is not merely about forwarding emails.

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to [email protected].

According to 5 U.S.C. § 552a, United States agencies, including the Executive Office of the President shall, “maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute or by the individual about whom the record is maintained or unless pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity.

I am a strong supporter of net neutrality," said Obama. "What you've been seeing is some lobbying that says [Internet providers] should be able to be gatekeepers and able to charge different rates to different websites...so you could get much better quality from the Fox News site and you'd be getting rotten service from the mom and pop sites. And that I think destroys one of the best things about the Internet -- which is that there is this incredible equality there...as president I'm going to make sure that is the principle that my FCC commissioners are applying as we move forward."

Obama said: "I remain firmly committed to net neutrality so we can keep the Internet as it should be -- open and free."

That is of course unless you happen to disagree with whatever policy the Administration happens want to put through congress. The Administration as I have said before needs to be reminded that they are not there to represent just those that agree with them and to violate Federal Law with this invitation for people to inform on others.

Do you have a link to this debunking? All I've seen is you saying repeatedly that it isn't true.

It's the same link you've been using: blog.whitehouse.gov, under the entry "facts are stubborn things."
Just read what's actually there and you'll see nothing about telling the WH who is disseminating "fishy" emails.

You are one stupid fuck!!

Get the dick out of your mouth, open your eyes and educate your stupid self!!!

You queers are a dumb lot!
Go back to humping your cows, moron. You're now on ignore.

Let the administration wonks say whatever they like. If any of it is unconstitutional, the USSC will say no and that will be the end of the idea.

I think this [email protected] address should be bombarded with emails as well, and should be taken out of commission. Perhaps I'll email them several times with the names of several organizations that I believe spread lies and propaganda, starting with BarakObama.com, moveon.org, the huffingtonpost, acorn, etc... This could keep me busy all day.

Not only a sock puppet, but a sock puppet with no job. And probably no health insurance, either.

Never in the history of our country has there been anything like what the White House is asking Americans to do. It sure does smell of Hitler in his rise to power... Obama's Administration has been snipping away at our freedoms a little at a time turning us in to a socialist nation. It has been his plan all along as evidenced by his past speeches. I am certain that it won't be long and there will be a move to ban private owership of firearms in this country. It's coming folks. For all of you that wanted to be a "Ward" of the government and taken care of from cradle to grave, just stand by. Soon the government is going to be controlling every element of your life. They have control of the banks now so they can say who gets a loan and for what purpose. They have taken over the auto industry. Mortgages can now be controlled by the government. They are trying very hard to control your health care and are in the process of that trying now to control your Freedom of Speech that was given to all by the Constitution. I do hope people will begin to open their eyes as to what is happening around them and begin to become involved in resisting this governmental movement. If it isn't stopped soon, America as we have all known it will no longer exist. Think I'm being over-reactive or blowing this situation out of control? Hope not because as Reverend Wright stated "The chickens are coming home to roost." Obama is the fox in that hen house. It's time to wake up and take some personal responsibility for yourself and your nation.

smell of Hitler

How do you know what Hitler smelled like?

No chance of The lower courts or the high court not hearing any of the charges should the time come.
I mean it hasn't ever happened before has it?

I generally address people directly when they send me political e mails. I get all kinds but the right wing stuff has become absolute LIES. They are full of untruthful propoganda. Want to see a couple? I'm sure some of you have them right in your e mail.

Here's a dirty lie that someone made up that plays oh so well with the right wingers.

Recently Michelle Obama went to serve food to the homeless at a government funded soup kitchen.
Cost of a bowl of soup at homeless shelter $0.00 dollars
Having Michelle Obama Serve you your soup $0.00 dollars
Snapping a picture of a homeless person who is receiving a government funded meal while taking a picture of the first lady using his $500 Black Berry cell phone $$$$ Priceless

OF course, Michelle was not at a government funded kitchen. She was at an entirely private church charity. It's a complete lie. But many will believe it. Spinning an incident is one thing but bald faced lies are another.

Let's take a look at another piece of right wing propoganda:

An organization has been granted a Federal Hearing on the same subject by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington , D.C. Their petition, Number 2493, would ultimately pave the way to stop the reading of the gospel of our Lord and Savior, on the airwaves of America .

Got this one a little while back from one of the nuts who believes Obama is a Muslim terorrist. Looked up FCC #2493. Turns out, it failed in 1974 and hasn't been heard from since. Someone dug pretty deep for this lie.

Then there is the Blair Holt and SB 2099 bullshit that has been coming left and right. Claiming that the two are the same, and of course they aren't. SB 2099 failed ten years ago. HR 45 (Blair Holt) failed two years ago, died in committee. Once it again it is dying in committtee. It's a one man bill, no cosponsors. But the e mails claim it is "flying under the radar" and that you won't hear about it until it's already law.

Lies and more damned lies.

I don't see where anyone is collecting names. I think they just want to see these bullshit e mails. I think I'll go ahead and forward the ones I have so they can see what they're up against.

Very few White House staffers in modern history, including presidents, have gotten away with something indefinitely. At least not without a presidential pardon. Crimes have consequences.

Not if Obama packs the court. Between his overstepping on on collecting names, whole speeches down the memory hole, pushing through whatever he can with czars, by passing not only the people, but the legislators there is much here to fear.

Even with Soto sworn in, the court won't be close to 'packed.' Try again.

Sweet Willy,

You are just now figuring out that 99.999999% of the emails you receive and 100% of the politically based emails you receive are lies? Man, I feel sorry for you! :)

Really, it doesn't matter which side of the aisle that shit comes from, they are lies with sprinklings of truth thrown in just to "help" you believe.

You missed the point over more than a few posts and forums. Your not keeping up doesn't obligate me to changing anything.

I didn't miss it: the reality is that you have no point, other than what's in the Radical Right Pundit Playbook. Been there, done that.

Wow, talk about overreacting. First off, there's nothing about turning in anyone. As another poster pointed out, they're wanting information on what's being said, not who is saying it, so they can plan their information game strategy.

Which is lazy as hell and was a dumbass thing to put up on a site. Pay people and do you own damn research.

However, jumping from that to Hitler comparisons is just as batty as when people did similar things to Bush.
