Trumps speech made me aware of the Constitution of the U.S being 230 years old

I didn't even realize that. The oldest Constitution still in existence and applied faithfully. The backbone of American values and success. Congratulations America, don't forget how unique this alone is. It is worth fighting for and protecting.

In contrast, Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms, it is only a few decades old and it is already disregarded and thrown into the fire by our security apparatus and government. The difference between capitalism, liberty and socialism...

It reminded me he is a posing disaster in the making:

U.S. President Donald Trump warned on Tuesday that the United States will be forced to "totally destroy" North Korea unless Pyongyang backs down from its nuclear challenge, mocking North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as a "rocket man" on a suicide mission.

Loud murmurs filled the green-marbled U.N. General Assembly hall when Trump issued his sternest warning yet to North Korea, whose ballistic missile launches and nuclear tests have rattled the globe. Unless North Korea backs down, he said, "We will have no choice than to totally destroy North Korea."

The Canadian Charter of Rights is a cheap imitation of the U.S. Constitution meant to be disregarded and only to be followed if political correctness allows.

It was foisted upon Canada by the most crooked phony Pierre Elliot Trudeau.

Pity Canada. We have the son of that asshole as Prime Minister.

Not nervous, embarrassed the Orange dud firecracker is our President.

I can just see the scowls on the faces of all liberals, when Trump said America is more important to him than other nations.

An Anti-Democratic Manifesto Written Behind Doors

We don't need an elitist overlord on our laws. The guillotine-fodder oligarchy has used its intrusive and pervasive brainwashing power to soak our minds with self-contempt for the majority. They've managed to convince their mind slaves that the Constitution protects our freedom when it only protects their own tyranny.

The Constitution, or rather the lawyers for the 1% who devised it, declares itself "the supreme law of the land," which is a totalitarian attitude. The regime's pushy phrase, "passing Constitutional muster" sounds like shanghaied cannon fodder being forced to assemble before some blood thirsty dictator. But power-hungry elitists love to throw that in our face.

The fact that we can't just ask only whether proposed legislation is good for the country, but are forced to ask first whether it is Constitutional, proves that having a Constitution is not good for the country. The military enlistment oath also asks us to defend the Constitution, not the country.

Heiristocracy

If you had a democracy, you would make it illegal for anyone to hold "elective" office whose parent held one. But no, you wouldn't want the spawn of your favorite politicians to lose any hededitary privileges. I can tell by the way you present your objection that it is specific, not general.

Stating the obvious is always infuriating to progressives.

Yes, pretty amazing, isn't it? Peaceful transition of power ('cept for that nasty little civil war) for 200+ years now, without a monarchy.

What did the Civil War have to do with a peaceful transition of power?

That occurred in 1860, when Lincoln was elected, without armed conflict and ended when Lincoln assumed office in 1861. The war did not start until over a month after Lincoln was already in office.

A whole month... not a very peaceful transition, if you ask me. Yes, the inauguration itself came off smoothly. But those were some rough waters.

It still doesn't require an exception like you tried to apply. It was a peaceful transition of power. The Constitution was upheld.

Until it wasn't, very shortly thereafter. And we don't have to guess that it was because Lincoln was elected. They said so.

Why don't you just give up and admit your claim was wrong? It was a poor attempt to disguise your lack of historical knowledge.

Says you...that was not a very peaceful transition of power. You know, considering about half the nation left the Union on a war footing because of it. what an odd argument you are pursuing... do I sense a Confederate Apologist hiding in there?
