Those reports were a compromise between two political parties and didn't look at the emails that she sent to her family saying saying that she knew it was a terrorist attack, not a spontaneous demonstration in response to an obscure internet video viewed by about 200 people.

The indisputable facts are that the Libya ambassador asked for more security and didn't get it and that she told a blatant lie about the attack. She told the lie because that asshole Obama was running for reelection on a platform that he had terrorism under control and the attack on the embassy disputed that contention. Well, yes. The Frustrated Middle Class are frustrated simply because they have nothing to hope for. Obama did the same thing and reaped the rewards from it too. The fact that people have such comfortable lives, but are still unhappy, suggests that there is something wrong with the way the country is approaching life in the first place.

The personality, well, the fact that people will vote for personality over substance of any kind is rather worrying, and this points to people who are apathetic about politics, who don't understand politics and don't understand how it impacts their life or how important it is. This is down to the way people vote, through a FPTP system which is all about negative voting. Time for a change to PR, which is positive voting.

The ability to control the media, yeah, sure, he danced like a monkey and the people laughed and lapped it up. It suggests that people are confusing entertainment and politics, which is rather worrying. Electing the leaders of the country is not the same as voting for someone on American Idol, but people don't seem to notice this. They're trying to hide the realities of their misery, by pretending the world around them is just like the things they enjoy.

All in all, a country can't hope to progress like this. People will continue to vote for people who are unsuitable for the positions they hold, and not take their job seriously, but squeeze all they can out of it.

Last year I should have stuck with my initial thought that was the simplest: after 8 years of one party the citizens would do as they normally do and move the country back towards center by putting the other guys in.
