Fiscal Policy: President Trump has clearly brought his business acumen to bear when crafting his first budget proposal, producing the most gimmick-free, strategic, focused — and deeply conservative — spending plan we've ever seen.

The White House had already revealed the basic outline of Trump's budget plan: He intended to cut domestic program by $54 billion so he could fund a much-needed boost in military spending...


...real spending cuts. They aren't cuts against some "baseline"..


...The budget plan is also remarkably strategic. These aren't mindless, across-the-board cuts...


...to drain the swamp, this is what it takes...


...Obama recklessly allowed our national defense capabilities to weaken...


...Trump's budget has caused big-government liberals to go into a state of apoplexy, spewing vitriol about how "heartless," "draconian," "extreme" it is...


...Trump has just given these Republicans a clear opportunity to back their promises with action. They'd be wise to take it.

A boost in Military spending.. Yes, I'm all for that!
It's one of the most important primary prupusues of the founding the U.S. gov't in the first place:


We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence...

Wasting money on the military industrial complex and cutting programs that help Americans? Are we North Korea !?
Not sure where that's idea's coming from but here's what's been going on:

North Korea has not been slashing its military spending for over a half century like the U.S. has, and the North Korean military spending is not at an all time low like it is in the U.S.

Since when is reducing government waste "tax cuts for the wealthy"?
 
Trump hasn't released a budget plan, what he released was wish list focused on a very narrow portion of the budget. An actual budget would include all government spending (both mandatory and discretionary) along with economic projections, revenue expectations and the projected budgetary impact of everything else he said he wants to do (e.g. "Obamacare repeal & replace", "Tax reform", Infrastructure spending, etc..,).

.. and there is nothing conservative about the wish-list he did release since it doesn't even reduce overall spending (by my calculation it's a net increase of $900 million), his "plan" just shuffles money from other executive departments into the military and DHS.

Wake up people, the Trump Administration has brought fascism to America, and changed our Republic from a democratic one, as Franklin once feared, into an Oligarchy of the Power Elite.
 
EPA gets some 7 billion annually. UN some 5 to 7 billion. How was it again that you pay the 20 trillion when you let the tax payers keep a trillion a year?

Pulling the reins in on out of control progressives in all of those Federal agencies isn't "fascism", Catcher...it's something that's long overdue and welcomed by anyone concerned that the Federal Government has seized far too much control over the lives of American citizens.
 
If there's anyone here that would like to make the claim that there isn't rampant waste taking place across the board in our Federal Government...step up to the plate and let's hear you!

No. In America we believe in individualism which means don't be dependent upon others. A safety net is one thing, but to have the current welfare state with able bodied people on government benefits is actually more like North Korea.

What's out of control, Catcher is a gradual power grab by non-elected officials sitting in Washington who think that THEY should control what Americans do! It's time to shrink the Federal Government and give power back to the people.
