What you progressives are ignoring is trump is changing his legal team from one based on defense to one based on offense. He is getting rid of the timid lawyers and exchanging them for aggressive, no bullshit lawyers. Dowd didn't want trump to talk to mueller, trump does. Trump is going to do what he wants to do and the lawyers who are too frightened are going to be forced out.

John Dowd has reportedly resigned from President Trump's legal team, The Hill has confirmed.

The New York Times first reported the development, citing two sources briefed on the matter who said that Dowd, who is Trump's lead lawyer for special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian election interference, resigned Thursday.

The resignation comes after Trump this past weekend attacked Mueller's Russia probe in a series of tweets.
