Trump speaks to President of Taiwan -- liberal media shits a brick

With China, we are in this mess because decades ago, China had become a considerable military threat, and our leaders rightly or wrongly, decided to jeopardize our economic well being by giving China "special" treatment, in order to entice China to open its doors and become more capitalistic and have friendly relations with the West. It worked partially. However, little did we realize the Chinese shifted their strategy from competing militarily to going on an economic war footing with us. At this point, there needs to be a nuanced way (without destroying the relationship) of making not only the Chinese, but all countries that do business with the US know that the days of taking advantage of America is over. That's why in China's case Trump has picked an Ambassador that knows them well and has had a personal relationship with their leaders.

Guy, the Chinese military isn't that impressive, and they are hemmed in by countries that are just as strong as they are and nuclear states.

the thing is, for all Trumpenfuhrer's touch talk, most of the world WANTS to do business with China, including American Corporations.

World Trade is about to change.
Yeah sure it is. Just ask Trump.

We are the world's largest market and we are not going to play the world's bitch anymore.

This is change, coming right at you.
And specifically what might those changes be?

Depends on the back and forth between Trump and Jinping.

Obviously.
I don't think Jinping tweets.

The specifics, which you requested to imply that the change is not actually happening, will obviously be based on the back and forth negotiation between Trump and Jinping, whether that is a formal diplomatic negotiation or economic warfare, or anything in between.

Trump's presidency was built on that issue more than any other.

EVEN outside of Trump's base the issue is popular. It was much of Sanders' platform.

America is changing and the rest of the world will AT LEAST have to deal with the US's new way of doing things.

The World's largest market means a lot.

We define to a great extent how world trade is conducted.

And we have changed our mind.

Also, your Godwin in noted. Your post is invalid and you are a moron.

well, then the rest of the world might just decide to stop putting up with our nonsense.

Your Trumpenfuhrer doesn't have the power you think he has. the fact he has to BRIBE Carrier in order to not eliminate as many jobs as they planned shows his weak spot.

And how would that "stop putting up with our nonsense" manifest?

Will they stop selling US their stuff for large surpluses?

And again, your Godwin in noted. You are a moron.

Most of the world is doing business with China because the US helped change it into a capitalistic economy.

Europe is changing too. As we can see the European Union is breaking up.

It's funny to see liberals, who have so long attacked conservatives as being afraid of change, being so obviously resistant to accepting change.

It really does to show that they NEVER mean what they say, they just say stuff that sounds like it serves the narrative or agenda.

Pure sophism.

It's very simple, if a country enagages in unfair competition, state sponsored subsidies targeted to attack certain American industries, currency devaluation, taxes American goods more than we tax theirs, abuses its workers, etc. then it has to be dealt with accordingly, not given more reason to continue this bad behavior.
Although I completely disagree with Trump on the TPP, because it is exactly the type of agreement we need to stop China, I certainly agree with his policy to take all of China's violations to the WTO. The US has been very effective at winning these cases when they pursued them. China is vulnerable to condemnation by the WTO and other international organization because they are seeking more trade and trade agreements in Asia and elsewhere with small developing nations. Trump said that we should pursue all legal avenues possible to stop China's illegal practices. I agree completely.

China is a problem not just for US but Canada, Mexico, the EU, and almost every developed nation. Almost everyone is having at least some problem with China's actions. A multilateral approach to the problem is our best bet.

We are in this mess with China because we jumped in with both feet at the dawn of century. Instead of developing a trade agreement with China we jointed the WTO thinking it would provide the safeguards we needed. Then the EU, not to be out done by the US, followed suit. Today, none of the major economic powers can act unilaterally against China without suffering major economic problems. Together we can stop China if we work together. This is a chance for Trump to prove he actually does have great negotiating skills and not just a big mouth.

Could be that they don't all fit your stereotype.

Yes, it will take a while before Trump cleans up Obama's disastrous mess.

Obama will hand over to Trump a nation that is in far better shape than his predecessor left him. What Trump will do with it, no one knows least of all Trump.

Uh, guy, here's how it's going to work. The big Corporations are going to TELL Trump how it's going to be. they might let him pass one or two laws that let the Cleetus-Billy-Bobs think they won something, but they'll keep doing business in China because frankly, it's good business.

The thing is, China isn't even the destination of choice anymore. Chinese Labor has become too expensive. Now businesses are going to India, they are going to the Philippines, they are going to Vietnam and Malaysia.

And Trumpenfuhrer, much like the original Fuhrer, can't take on the whole world.

If there's a trade war, we'd lose.

I've heard one or two lefty voices raised in attempts to deal with the reality of the changes occurring to the GOP, America, and the world,

but mostly they seem to be pebbles thrown into the advancing tide. plop. no ripple.

Calling my observation, a stereotype, for example, is just a way of denying the changes taking place.

Have you noted any liberal voices saying anything about how to deal with the changes revealed/caused by the election constructively?

Well, yeah, because it's all change in the wrong direction. He's filling his cabinet with corporate cronies.

Hey, Mr. Champion of the Working GUy, how about his Secretary of Labor? He's a guy who runs a corporation that cheats working people on a regular basis.

Or his Secretary of the Treasury, who worked for Goldman Sachs.

Or his Secretary of State, who worked for Exxon moving jobs out of the country.

Hey, but don't worry, Cleetus, he'll done get around to helping you and Billy-Bob and Mary SUe out in Jesus Land. I know you need to believe that.

Your racism is noted. YOu are a racist ass.

Your Godwin in noted. Your post in invalid.

Your facts are wrong. The largest trade deficits of all time are ours with China, and they are still GROWING, not dropping as that trade moves to "india" or the "Philippines".

Again, they will still grow when Trumpenfuhrer gets in... you are just too stupid to realize you've been had. But the industry is moving to even cheaper labor countries than China.

What we need to do is invest in STEM education, in infrastructure (not the Crony scheme Trumpenfuhrer is proposing to make his friends rich) to make our industries competitive again.

But we won't do that. It's too much work.

So we'll keep whining about how the Chinese are eating our lunch. 30 years ago, it was the Japanese who were eating our lunch. In 20 more years, it will be the Indians.

Your racism in noted. Your post is invalid.

your stupidity and dishonesty is noted. I know, man, it's hard to admit when you got scammed.... but you got scammed, Cleetus.

1. Your racism is noted again. YOu are a racist ass.

2. Your bumper sticker slogan of "education/STEM education" is debunked by your support of high tech job visas.

Well, done, der, Cleetus, they aren't going to hire you for a STEM job if you graduated with a degree in "Theology" from "Talking Snake U" and you don't dun der think evolution is a thing.

They are going to find someone who can do math and science. and if that person happens to not be born here, that's who they are going to hire.

The problem you have is you think that Willy White Trash should get a job because he's entitled to it for being an American.

Racism is not an answer to my point. My point stands.

You are revealed to be full of shit by your support of high tech job visas.

Here's the thing. I writer resumes for the H1B people. and I write resumes for the working class whites. Guess which ones have the sense of entitlement? The ones who think that their Bachelors from the University of Phoenix should be opening all these door for them.

Come on, Cleetus. Take a guess.
