Trump loses Utah... In the general

Poll: Utah would vote for a Democrat for president over Trump

If Trump is the nominee, he loses Utah in the general. Explain to me how he wins a general election if he can't even win one of the most conservative states in the nation?

I highly doubt this is the only one with the huge negatives he has been getting in the west

LOL.... This is actually one of the most laughable threads of the day ..Trump will lose Utah to Cruz in the primary But the leftist will never win Utah in the General you're dreaming :cuckoo:
I have my condo in downtown SLC for years, and I fully understand the Utah mind. The following from the link is just so right to me and others who understand Utah.

"The poll found that may well be true. Utah voters said they would reject Trump, the GOP frontrunner, whether former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is the Democratic candidate on the general election ballot.

While Clinton was only slightly ahead of Trump — 38 percent to 36 percent — Sanders, a self-declared Democratic socialist, holds a substantial lead — 48 percent to 37 percent over the billionaire businessman and reality TV star among likely Utah voters."

"Wow. Wow. That's surprising," said Chris Karpowitz, co-director of Brigham Young University's Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy. "Any matchup in which Democrats are competitive in the state of Utah is shocking."

The LDS Church is strongly signaling that Trump is an unacceptable candidate.
They'll change their mind if Trump actually becomes the Republican nominee. Some former church leader said that you couldn't be a good Mormon if you weren't republican and it stuck.

When the prophet decides, the thinking has been done.
Considering that many of the Mormon church leaders have been Democrats, and obamas butt dripping by the name of Harry Reid claims to be Mormon, I have a hard time believing that some (conveniently) unnamed church leader told the people they could not be Mormon if they were not republicans.
I sure you would be able to clear this up with a link to this statement.
Found it. Ezra Taft Benson.

"In 1974, for example, Benson famously told an interviewer who was interviewing him as a prominent Republican and political figure, that it would be difficult for a member of the Church to be a Democrat if they knew and understood the gospel."

It set just fine with the great majority of the GAs.

Maryland, the Church leadership is overwhelmingly GOP. I told her what you said, and she broke out laughing and asked in which universe you love.

You are talking about a culture you know nothing about, nothing.

You are saying things not based on reality because it makes you "feels" good. You sound like a socialist.
She? who is she.
universe I LOVE? WTF?
Things not based on reality? I can show links, I actually looked up and tried to find your "facts" they don't exist.
Feel good? I don't really care either way, but I am tired of you idiots making up facts and not being able to verify them in any way.
So, If Im saying things not based on reality, but your statements based on reality, I just expect you to be able to prove it with a little more than some imagined "She" that is laughing because Im loving in a different universe.
The General Authorities are overwhelmingly GOP. If you deny it, then either you are ignorant or stupid or lying. I don't have to prove it, because you made the assertion. Get to it , lame-o.[/QUOT

When my dad was a stake president he was building a new stake center. And when the brethren wouldn't give him what he wanted he called them a bunch of democrats. Of course we're talking 1965
He was probably dealing with Hugh B. Brown and Nathan Eldon Tanner. My friends (a couple who are GAs today) tell me those days of several GAs favoring the Democratic Party are long gone. I would image there are one or two.

Maryland Patriot is yammering on about things he does not know. He is trying to conflate a long gone history with today. Typical MP nonsense.

Trump did so poorly in Utah. And did he get a majority in AZ?
58 to 40..............Tuesday still goes to Trump. Scoreboard is all that matters.

Long way to go to Convention. The rules committee will change the 1st ballot procedure to allow any nominations. That finishes off Trump.

Wonder if the folks in Utah would rather have a president who's wife posed SEMI-NUDE when she was a young model or this, piece of shit?

25% of Republicans have said flatly they will not vote for Trump.

There is no appreciable statistical documentation that the Dems will cross over for Trump.

Say it a thousand times and maybe someone will believe you..........maybe.............hmmm...........

I heard Hillary offered blow jobs to all delegates that go against Trump.........she is gonna be tired after convention.

So you can only appeal to your "feels" like most far right reactionaries.

JakeAss believes a poll with perhaps 500 people answering it as meaning 25% of the millions of Republican's won't vote for Trump! Perhaps he won't believe this one!

  • Trump leads Cruz 46-37 in hypothetical two-man race . . . with 12 percent undecided

And against Kasich, Trump leads 56-25. A new Quinnipiac poll seems to give the lie to the theory of many - myself included - that if you could get John Kasich out of the Republican primary race, Ted Cruz would win a two-man matchup over Donald Trump. Qunnipiac polled Republican primary voters and then broke down scenarios in which Cruz and Kasich, respectively, were removed from the race and their supporters’ respective second choices were allocated accordingly. With Kasich out, Cruz draws close, but perhaps not close enough. It’s 46-37 Trump, but with 12 percent undecided. So if you assume...

Your crystal ball is out of order...................If not, you have bigger problems coming......
