Trump just declared “the United States Military will build the Wall!”

Trump is tweeting this morning about several things, including getting funding for the wall. This comes after Trump backed down on his threat to close the government over border wall funding.

In our Country, so much money has been poured down the drain, for so many years, but when it comes to Border Security and the Military, the Democrats fight to the death. We won on the Military, which is being completely rebuilt. One way or the other, we will win on the Wall!

Mexico is paying (indirectly) for the Wall through the new USMCA, the replacement for NAFTA! Far more money coming to the U.S. Because of the tremendous dangers at the Border, including large scale criminal and drug inflow, the United States Military will build the Wall!

That's a pretty liberal interpretation of "paying for" but there is SOME logic there and what counts is you identify as a liberal or at least promise not to ridicule any now.

Yeah, build a wall. Its great make work/welfare work. The CCC would be proud.

My theory is we need more people here to keep the economy going. Real Estate demand, folks willing to work, sheer population numbers.

Why do we NEED to keep pumping the economy when we could sit on our buts like Luxemburg and have a fine standard of living?

Because we feel a need to support our military and economic muscles. If you don't, there is no point pumping our economy with every contrived measure available just to keep up with the Chinese (who buy more new cars than us now).

If you want to have the best Space Force, you better keep our Real Estate values (and thus tax base) up and get some people here willing to just work.
