Trump Is Truly Demented

If you test negative today, you could test positive tomorrow. So do tell, how you can test everyone everyday until they test positive. We would have to be testing everyone everyday 365 days. And the minute you quarantine everyone for weeks, and they step back out, some will again test positive. It is impossible to keep the virus from spreading. Even when we have a vaccine, most virus vaccines have chances of not working and none work 100%. The flu vaccine last year only had a 40% success rate. So, do we just hibernate forever? Then we will die from from lack of food, depression, domestic abuse, suicide, etc. We have a choice to take proper precautions and go on with life, those with other conditions take the precautions they need and work from home, or all hibernate and die for certain earlier.
None of the scientists are recommending to test everyone, though that would be ideal, where do you even get that from....?

the containment process is about testing segments of the population, in hot spot areas, in crowded work conditions, in nursing homes, etc or to trace those who came in contact with someone testing positive, and isolate only the sick and those in contact with the sick for a long enough period to become sick themselves, with the virus.

It's possible, that every sick person, infects another 2 to 3, and those three infected, can also infect another three, and those 9 people can also infect another three, and those 27 people can now infect another three...and those 81 people can now infect another three, and so on and so forth...

it happens very quickly!

so the first guy testing positive, if his direct contacts were also isolated soon enough, and they don't pass on the infection to anyone out in the public..... it ends the spread, from that one initial person.

Even if you only catch and stop 2 of those 3 infected by the one person, from passing it on....it forever reduces those infected, and infections to come, by 2/3's.

It slows the process of contagion... and the chances of getting it....

And it allows time for anti virals and antibody/antigen therapy etc... to be developed and allows time for a vaccine to be created and time to inoculate the masses....

it reduces the death toll.....

it would make citizens feel safer

it would bring the workforce and economy back,, in a more fervent way

it's a win, win, win...... any which way you look at it...imo.
You must not read all the posts here. Many have suggested it. And please do tell, do you have an answer as to why LA isn’t using the tests they have? Noone is stopping states or cities from doing their own testing. See, that is what a Republic is all about...
And sorry, the contract tracing being suggested is beyond the pale. If someone tests positive, then you ask who they may have been in contact with. That has been working just fine.
where is LA mentioned in the post of yours that I responded to?

what specific contact tracing methods being suggested are you saying is beyond the pale??? All of them, some of them? A certain state's? A CDC guideline?

"If you test negative today, you could test positive tomorrow." So why bother, huh? That's like saying that it's pointless to eat because you'll just be hungry again later. And it's not true that it's impossible to keep the virus from spreading. It could be done with enough personal hygiene, social distancing, testing, and contact tracing. But I guess that's just too hard, huh?
comparing testing for a disease to eating and being hungry
hahahhahahahahahahahahah
that's typical liberal ''logic'''

already posted this
s not uncommon for leaders to set goals so high that they sound unattainable.

Well what the hell, trumpf should just say we'll have a vaccine by next week.

You don't get it. Doesn't matter what the draft dodger and all his ass licking suits say, it's not in their hands, and it isn't their timeline. But if you don't mind having smoke blown up your ass, enjoy.

Trumpf inspires no confidence. Haven't you been paying attention? He doesn't choose competent people, he chooses yes men, he chooses family members, he chooses incompetent idiots cause they suck up to him. Over and over he does this shit, you go on praising him. The hospitals are screaming for PPE, what does trumpf do? He puts his flunkie son-in-law in charge, a guy that has never succeeded at anything. What does Kushner do? Instead of contacting experts at procurement or anybody with medical expertise, he calls up his buddies, none of whom know DICK about it. They all start using their personal email accounts, so everyone they contact thinks they're being put on and ignore it.

The trumpf admin is a constant cluster fuck, a bunch of stumbling, fumbling partisans. Kushner has accomplished nothing, his kids have accomplished nothing, they're only there to line their own pockets. Any vaccine will be in spite of trumpf.
TDS---very funny TDS

..that don't understand common sense

When you get Covid-19, you may not have symptoms right away. Some people never have any symptoms, or very mild symptoms. So you could be walking around with the virus but not know that you have it. Yet because it's very contagious, you can spread it even if you don't know that you have it. That's what makes it so insidious.

The only way to make sure if someone has Covid-19 is to test them, and if the test is positive, then quarantine them (and anyone they may have been in contact with recently). If we did that aggressively, we could isolate the infected people and eventually stop the spread of the virus.

But Trump doesn't want to do that. He called testing "overrated" (even though HE is tested EVERY day), and said, “When you test, you have a case. When you test, you find something is wrong with people. If we didn’t do any testing, we would have very few cases.” In other words, Trump doesn't want extensive testing because, inevitably, more cases of Covid-19 would be found, and in his mind, that would make him look bad. He's willing to sacrifice hundreds or thousands of Americans at the altar of his ego. That is truly demented.

...my company has not stopped working ..we get a temp test and that's it.....no C19 testing .....we are fine ..no one has gotten C19
..we put in common sense policies --o you don't know what common sense is --sorry

Privacy advocates warn that the danger of creating new government surveillance powers for the pandemic could lead to much bigger problems in the future. In a new policy paper shared with The Associated Press, the American Civil Liberties Union is warning state governments to tread more carefully and establish stricter privacy procedures before deploying technology meant to detect and curb new coronavirus outbreaks.

Even the most privacy-minded tools, such as those to be released soon by Apple and Google, require constraints so that they don’t become instruments of surveillance or oppression. “The risks of getting it wrong are enormous,” said Neema Singh Guliani, a senior legislative counsel with the ACLU.

ACLU’s report says the worst location-tracking technology should be rejected outright, such as apps that track individual movements via satellite-based GPS technology and feed sensitive personal data into centralized government databases. “Good designs don’t require you to gather people’s location information and store that,” Singh Guliani said.

but you claim that it's "much less deadly"? Than what?
much less deadly that liberals told us it would be

And even for many of them it could have just bedn an honest mistake

Examples of death in Italy and Spain were pretty scary and no one wanted that to happen here

and it didnt

now the more we test the more we know about the chinese disease

and its obviously not as bad as we feared
What do you mean, "it's obviously not as bad as we feared"? What kind of numbers were you anticipating?
Current death tolls:
Italy: 32,007
Spain: 27,709
U.S.: 90,694

I can remember when parents would say 'you can even grow up to be President' in America !

Being POTUS was a lofty aspiration , prestigious position , respected world wide

These days they don't say that anymore .......in fact one's view of the oval office seat is no longer than of power, but that of capitulating puppetry

Fact is, wtf would want to be potus in this sh*t show?

Nothing new about that. There is a long list of examples of his absurd thought processes. I'm not sure if he has dementia, or if he has always been this stupid, and his dumb, childish behavior is the same as it has always been.
